Charles N'Zogbia

He is not going to run into form sitting on the bench. Regardless of his current form in the long run if we are to start winning games Charles is going to be the key to us doing that. We need be doing all we can to get him up & firing.

Agreed but unfortunately we do not have the quality of squad to carry a player indefinately hoping that they find some form. AM needs to shift heaven and earth to find Zoggies form ASAP!!

Couldn't the same be said for the likes of Albrighton, Bannan and Ireland though? If we're willing to give N'Zogbia a chance to start then why not those three? Especially Bannan as he has impressed when he has started.

He is doing nothing to justify his place in the team...end of story.

But he is our BIG summer signing benching him now means admitting the management may have **** up? Never going to happen! Plus no one is on the bench pulling up trees to play?

Kind of? I don't think there is anyone on the bench at present who is pushing the Zog? Albie looks the closest but he's hardly anywhere near the form of last year?

N'Zogbia is a winger, yet nothing in McLeish's tactics suggest good wing play in his methods. Its the manager's fault because there was nothing wrong with N'Zogbia last season..

Its just like Hleb, Bentley and Larsson at Blues, they too looked ordinary under McLeish, with players like Dann and Johnson looking top class. We are now seeing similarities at Villa with Dunne looking top class and attacking players looking poor.

So N'Zogbia's lack of form and him generally playing crap is done to McLeish!?

N'Zogbia has seen plenty of the ball and done bugger all with it, nothing to do with McLeish...just N'Zogbia struggling with form and playing pap.

What is it with you? There always has to be some conspiracy theory which boils done to being McLeish's fault?

N'Zogbia is out of form...nothing more...nothing less...**** all to do with Alex McLeish!!!

Agree with this. Think AM main ability as a manger is to make good players look average and average players look good, not a great quality really.

For all his quotes about how Villa is steeped in tradition of exciting football and how we need to be attacking and pleasing the fans I can't see any signs that this is what he is aspiring to and no sign that he has any ability to get his teams playing that way.

Sort of agree with the opinion that AMC gets the best out of defenders, however he can't be blamed for N'zogbia's current inability to pass the ball 10 yards, or beat his man.

Needs a confidence boost, sure a goal would perk him up.

Quite a number of our players were fine before Houllier turned up yet somehow in that instance its not his fault or its a good thing.

Its always the manager's fault..Including Houllier last season in regards Dunne/Warnock. Yet I think with Houllier it more intentional and he knew exactly what game he was playing..

McLeish dosnt have the technical brain to work with great attacking players..We could sign Messi and he would look crap under McLeish..(which is a slight exageration) ,he wouldnt look nowhere near as good as he does at Barca because McLeish dosnt know how to compliment their game.

You can see why Blues went down twice under him..Its because he dosnt know how to analise the opposition. He has no technical ability in his game plans at all..5 games into the new season and 4 of those he has lost the mind battles with his opposition number..Does McLeish do any homework on the attacking side to work out the oppositions weaknesses to try win games? Or does he just look at the opposition's strengths and how to combat them defensively? He is just clueless and you can see it a mile off in his game plans for each game...Yet last season, I seen very good game plans but some of the players not giving 100%..

Im just hoping with K'Mac now in the fold we will look a bit better.. I would like to see Grant replaced with someone like Wilkins too.

Sort of this.

The thing is, Mcleish has two issues here. Firstly, his forte is creating a solid defence and to that end he's been pretty succesful. Secondly, he is desperate not to lose a single game for the obvious reasons. And I really don't think he knows what his best midfield is yet at all (maybe Jenas might change that?).

But, where you are spot on is that CNZ is so out of form it ain't true. The boy's done sweet FA since he got here, apart from the briefest of glimpses of his talent. He is'nt lazy, can track back, but it just is'nt working for him yet. Nothing to do with Mcleish. Perhaps a goal might sort him out?

The rot is setting into Bent and N'Zogbia's brains...The more games that continue in defensive mode, the more the rot escualtes...It turns great attacking players into cabbages.

That is down to the manager!

Yes of course Bent's form is all down to Mcleish and nothing to do with the quite obvious fact that he's carrying an injury

Breaking News: Torrential rain forecast for tomorrow is all Alex McLeish's fault

The conspiracy theorist in me still believes that N'zogbia is still on holiday and has sent his mate over to play for the Villa for a while. He's done it before so why not again?

http://tinyurl.com/64oatnr

On a serious note I reckon that with a full pre season behind him (see Stuart Downing *spit*) and if Wigan had not allowed him to jet off on holiday during pre season we'd be seeing a completely different Charlie.

At the minute the lad seems very low on confidence. His lack of sharpness if blatantly evident so maybe a solution would be to put him in the centre behind bent where his current habit of losing possession wont punish us as much as when on the wing. Seems a shame to drop the lad as he is a real talent yet I suppose if a player is playing shit them maybe he deserves to be dropped. Decisions, decisions :?
