Won't be at the Stoke game....might not even be at the Bolton game....

how can tieing up loose ends take that long - what on earth does he have to do?

On Monday he HAS to attend a meeting with the 20 Ligue 1 club managers etc... as part of his contract. This meaning he won't be able to get to Stoke in time even in a private jet.

He then has a few other things to do for them to successfully end his contract and he will be at Bolton, but most probably in the stands.

Basically the French FA want him to do a few things before they let him become our manager officially.

There would be no point him being present for training over the weekend, then flying back to France, then rushing back just so that we could say that 'our manager was at the game'.

If he's not available then it makes sense to let him be there when he can, and for KMac (or whoevers left in charge) to asses the team in preparation for the game.

As expected, there was a reason for him not being there. All the people jumping to conclusions have simply done that.

ok, cheers. I can't watch it so just going on posts! Bolton is my first game in over a year so would have been nice to see him there, but for a tenner I can't complain!
