Mantis
Houllier and McLeish have both had a hand in helping Bannan progress. One person that hasn't however is that useless prick O'Neill. What you see from Bannan is all the stuff he learnt under Houllier...Why? Because if you looked between the lines ALL our players were looking better regards vision, passing and movement etc.. Will the progression continue under McLeish? Lets hope so..But on his past record its unlikely. I would be far happier if; 1, Cowans was back amongst 1st team coaching staff. 2, A better no'2 was installed in place of Grant.McLeish has also helped as well by continually playing him. I'm sure Eck's ability to get his teams to play expansive, creative football is providing the perfect environment for Bannan. He has had to play Bannan because the kid has looked good every time he has had the slightest chance whereas none of McLeish's other formations/picks have produced anything nearing creativity. dudevillaisnice
Aston Villa midfielder Barry Bannan was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after being involved in a crash on the M1 in the early hours of Sunday. The 21-year-old midfielder smashed into the central reservation of the M1 at around 5.30am yesterday. He was arrested by police officers, along with a 20-year-old friend, in the nearby village of Bulwell, in Nottinghamshire. Officers questioned and breathalysed the Scottish international, who had played in Villa's 2-1 home defeat to West Brom on Saturday afternoon. A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "A Range Rover collided with the central reservation near junction 26 at around 5.30am. No other vehicles were involved. "Two men aged 20 and 21 were arrested in Bulwell on suspicion of drink-driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident. "Both have been bailed pending further enquiries." http://tinyurl.com/65rw4pc

Houlston
Conviction will lead inevitably to a driving ban, a fine and potentially other punishments to include community service, curfew orders and in extreme cases, a prison sentence. It just wont happen, but this is VT so lets say he'll get three years.

Stevo985 Posted October 24, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted October 24, 2011 He wouldn't get jail time for that, assuming no-one was hurt in the accident. Fine and a driving ban I would imagine. Doesn't stop it being **** stupid though
