Easily sorted.

Hide the remote and switch the radio on instead. I never ever watch daytime tv, it’s utter wank.

Beat me to it. I would never even contemplate switching on the TV in the morning. Don't like radio either, but the wife insists on Radio 4 in the kitchen.

Try Radio Caroline, Michael. I get it on Internet radio but it's on DAB too.

The do play some excellent stuff (although they also have  avery unhealthy obsession with The B*a*l*s)

Yeah, there’s plenty of that.

People justify it by trying to say its originally our tradition but in reality its US culture and a retail opportunity to create waste.

The real competition is seeing who leaves their pumpkin out the longest, because we all know that once you’ve put it outside its no longer your responsibility.

As an American (raised in the Black Country) I can tell you that we grew 4 pumpkins this year and that is all of the "Halloween'ness" that will be outside of our house

However, I will go full Griswold (including inflatable Christmas Minions) the second this horrendous 'era? time? jolly? halloween distraction?' is over.

This might get an interesting reaction from some on here and start a debate.

At least those who answered 16, it’s clear to see what they’ve done. God knows what the other 41% are thinking. My hope is that they thought “Well if you think I’m stupid enough to not realise, then I’m going to go to town with the stupidity.”

I dont even know how people could get to 13, let alone how 26% did. Surely that's got to be a protest vote as you say.

Settle an argument for me. Was just looking through the welcome guide for the holiday home we're staying in and saw the following sentence:

"No same sex parties! Families and couples only."

Is this homophobic or is it a poorly worded way of saying no stag/hen parties?

My guess is the emphasis or problem is parties not scissor sisters.

I agree. They could have just stated 'no parties'.

Unless they've had a massive orgy take place there once upon a time which nearly wrote the place off with damage, I'm not sure why it would need to be worded that way?

I think that wording is typical for places like Haven which don’t want 8 lads piling into a £30k caravan and wrecking it.

A party is a group in that context. Not party as in a boozy shindig, party as in party of 5. Loads of campsites say no same sex parties.

i think they mean groups of people, its just been worded badly.

Unless they've had a bad experience with cleaning the carpet after a twink bukkake party.

It’ll be the latter. I used to do trips away in lodges around the UK with the guys (lads! lads! lads!) and when booking it I would encounter the issue of no all male/female groups. Particularly if it’s a group of twenty somethings.

Occasionally they would specifically state no all male groups, which would suggest all female parties were allowed. Funny that it says it in the welcome guide, as I say in my experience it’s the sort of thing that’s ascertained when booking it.
