There are other similar products but not with the refinement I intend and certainly not for the use I have in mind. I literally have no idea where to start, how to prototype, how to find a manufacturer, market research etc. The only thing I know is the demographic that I would be marketing to. It is niche and a delicate subject so I can't just stick a random survey on Facebook etc. Any help gratefully received! I appreciate this is not exactly full of information though! Probably, you will need to find someone who backs inventors/entrepreneurs ... because if you are doing it out of your garden shed, you probably don't have the resources. My wife is doing something similar at the moment (a bath product for kids) and is just about to get the patent for it (it cost nothing like the £40K mentioned above, a few hundred quid instead). There's a company she used who were really good.
