Cos the fact he was offside made no difference. There were like 4 Wolves players who would have attacked the ball had the defender not cleared it. So teams have been playing at Anfield with VAR for years and the cameras aren't good enough to check all scenarios?! Apparently the camera angle at Anfield is so inadequate they couldn't 100% tell the corner taker was onside so went with the assistant ref's decision.
