The thing is those effort levels are what we saw when Gerrard first took over.

Which is only positive - that they can do it, in expectation of a good manager - and possibly when they know they have a good manager. Strikes me SG was loathed.

the team he won it with last won the league in 2002

And on that basis he gets the Villa job ???? You are only looking at 1 good season that he had, and he aint doing so hot this season, he already lost in the Cup to a 3rd tier club, you are overlooking the most important fact, he has very little experiance as a manager and no depth of knowledge in playing preassure matches week after week.

Dendonker and Buendia wouldn’t have been fans for sure. Too know both McGinn and Ramsey would start no matter what must have got very frustrating.

For all the people here banging on about the lack of PL Experience and inexperience in management of Rúben Amorim and banging on about how we need a manager with "PLexperience"
Arron Danks with Zero "PL Experience" and Zero 1st mens team management experience just outmaneuvered outmanaged the so called "PL experienced" Thomas Frank.

So that win was dedicated to you

And on top of this, has never had a professional football career as a player, was straight into coaching from the age of 20, so think on!
