MellbergsBeard
I enjoy watching football, I enjoy having a drink, I enjoy watching football having a drink, I wouldn’t enjoy watching kids get covered in beer or hit with cups with fake celebrations throwing their drinks In the air.
jim
No. 10-15% of football fans are words removed and would spoil it for everyone else. For the majority of that 10-15% it isn’t even about the football, it’s an excuse to get leathered and behave like an animal.

icouldtelltheworld
Given the almost pathological tendency of Villa fans to fight amongst ourselves, I reckon any launching of beer would soon be stamped out. Even so, as much as I really want to support this, if I'm honest it's a bad idea with more negatives than positives
The Fun Factory
I can't see them allowing this in the away ends as well will they?
Rodders
Extending licensing hours 15 years ago or whenever it was was designed to stop bellends drinking too much. Had **** all impact that did, so I think the theory in that report is a pipe dream
Chine
No from me , too many tools that couldn’t be trusted with being responsible enough not to throw it , always be some berk sat behind spilling ale down yours or your kids back , certain to cause a ruck
villarule123 Posted September 28, 2021 VT Supporter Share Posted September 28, 2021 I think it's a fantastic idea, I would love my kids to get drenched by a load of bellends thinking they're funny as we equalise in the 94th minute against Norwich. Oh wait, no I dont.
PussEKatt
I hope all of you realise that excess drinking can lead to memory loss. Or even memory loss

The nation does have a drinking problem, but those least able to control themselves are far more likely to attend football matches than other sports. I'd enjoy sipping a pint in the holte end, if it wasn't for the inevitable behaviour from a group of stupid words removed that will almost certainly ruin it for everyone else. My mates dad has 10 pints before lunch at Edgbaston when we go to a test match and will only go for his first piss at that point, well into his 70's. I don't like the thought of leaving the stadium drenched and smelling of stale Heineken as a result of the 'limbs' from a last minute winner though! Swings and roundabouts. Drink Purity instead maybe?

As @HanoiVillan said above, you even get to have a pint watching lower league games and there's no real problem. There's something about the Sky, Big Match, Lads Lads Lads culture that'd probably make it a nightmare in PL/England internationals though, IMO. Maybe it's always been a thing and I live an overly sheltered life, but a bunch of clearings in the woods seemed to start doing it in the 2018 WC, and now it seems it's just a thing that's here to stay. what about totty and wet t shirts
