I tell you what I know for a fact.

If they spend more money than any Championship side ever. If they get to The Play Off Final and lose, the thousand yard stare their owner will give will make Xia look euphoric.

I assume you're talking about the League 1 Playoff final here? 😉

Tony Xia vibes here. Many of our fanbase fell for the "dream" plan, whilst the sensible ones questioned the intent.

They manage 9bn of total assets. That's not their actual money, its money borrowed to them to invest and grow. Football is a notorious cesspit for money.

If they don't get promoted in a season or 2, this could get messy.

I'm not a financial expert by any means - but their portfolio gain is NEGATIVE 85.69 percent and the S&P500 is up 192%

Even in the last 12 months they've lost 47.45% of their portfolio. Incredible stuff.

Exactly what I keep thinking.

Promising is one thing, delivering is another.

I'll believe Blues' bright future when I see it. If I were them I'd be actually quietly alarmed by the amount of money being touted around this stadium. Billions of pounds. And could very easily be in League 1 next season.

Coventry fans got promised similar and look what happened there

I think this Wagner guy believed the HKSE valuation of 600 million or whatever crazy amount it was.

All I know is if I had a pension scheme to invest in a hedge fund I wouldn't be giving it to the donut who's lost 48% portfolio value in a year and saying he's going to build a £3 billion stadium for some tinpot shit pit nesbits from Small Heath. You could literally get a chimpanzee to pick 5 company names out of a hat from the FTSE100 to invest in and get better returns than that. And if I had any funds invested with them I'd be pulling them out ASAP

Can't wait for the Peaky Blinders theme park to pop up in Bordesley.

They can get club legends such as Stan Lazaridis and Paul Tait to cut the ribbon.

They are seriously deluded about their potential and the integrity of the owners. Hedge funds are designed to give returns to its investors.

If Newcastle, who have more money than god, are having issues balancing the books, how the f*** do these clowns think they are going to become relevant?

Build it and they will come? Half their current stadium fell down and they still can't fill it.

From a thread called 'who do we want to sign in the summer then?':

What's funnier, the idea they could sign Philogene or the idea that they shouldn't because he's a DVB (mate)?

Cheeky bids for Isco and Benzema.

The sheer wilful ignorance from football fans about the reality they're in has always griped me and it's all football fans.

We'd see it on here. We'd be fighting relegation for season's on end and dealing in frees and £2m from the lower league and the speculation thread would be Benzema, Son, Isco, Zouma, Tielemans, Januzai, Depay.

Yeah they're just the hottest prospect in Europe, and we ain't got a pot to piss in and nobody wants to fight relegation in Birmingham but we just need to sell them the dream! We can't afford a tenth of the fee, a quarter of their wages,  or pay their agent....but just make it happen!!!

No. We're signing Kieron Richardson. That's the market we are in.

Deal with it. Accept it. Live in reality.

And when "Dr" Tony was on here spouting all this nonsense about CL football (under him) and spent 15m on bang average championship strikers, and talks of theme parks, and expansions, and was it a Casino? All sorts of madness and people in his thread would be wanking him....constantly, and it was painfully obvious he was full of absolute horse shit.

....but people don't want to see the truth. They want to believe.
