Match Thread: Villa v Ipswich

From what I’ve read, it seems like we’ve done ok against a poor side. I’m not sure we should be surprised as there hasn’t been any additions to the squad since we last played. However it also sounds as if some players, Whelan in particular, have raised their game. That’s the kind of response we want to see. The players aren’t daft and know that a large number of them won’t be playing here next season, but those showing a good response to criticism will find contracts elsewhere and in the meantime will earn their big wages here, so everyone benefits.

I don't want to be negative guys but we are masters at finding a way of dropping points from winning positions when scoring two goals at home.

Sod the pair of you.  We're winning this and it's our 3 pts today boys.
