Maybe but that shouldn't be a factor so is irrelevant, the cards should be for the offence not the reaction of the player which even at the time was clearly massively over the top. The lack of consistency in decisions in games in recent weeks is quite appalling, the standard of ref's in the PL seems to be dropping year on year.
