KJT123
Absolutely fuming that he's dropped Okore. Been absolutely brilliant apart from last game where he had a wobble. edit: Unless he is just being rested of course. Dodgyknees
Have to agree, Bacuna instead of N'Zogbia would make more sense.
dudevillaisnice
Won't fault him too much for the Okore decision (he could be resting him to be fair) No excuses for N'Zogbia starting though; that is disappointing.
Villan4Life
Riccardo Calder is on the bench!! a youth team prospect. Oh no he isnt!! he's on the bench, have you not seen the starting line up and sub bench for today's game? He was also on the bench against Man Utd so why are you saying he isn't on the bench? AVTuco Posted December 28, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted December 28, 2014 Vlaar is still our main CB who will play every game unless he underperforms royally. Okore and Clark have both been very good, but Okore had a bad game Friday, so he is dropped. Right choice for me. I like this much more than pushing Clark to LB. Like Sam said, this is a very good situation we have amongst the CBs.
sexbelowsound
LAMBERT OUT! HE DROPPED SOMEONE WHO DIDN'T PLAY WELL LAST WEEK. N'Zog on the other hand. Oh dear. Edited December 28, 2014 by sexbelowsound
villianusa
I said in the Lambert thread that I expected Okore to be the one rested. He's stilll on the road back from recovery and he is the future so why risk him having a setback. N'Zog playing is another matter. Bacuna or Grealish should have come in for him.

Really annoying as N'Zogbia is a player who either plays awful, or plays great, there doesn't seem to be a middle ground. Weimann needs to get his shooting/assisting boots on today. KSV
If anyone Vlaar is the risk playing 2 games in 2 days surely?? the guy will go off injured. Disappointing to see Nzogbia start and Cleverley. Ah well.
AVTuco Posted December 28, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted December 28, 2014 With Gabby out, today would've been a perfect time to try Bacuna up front.

Disappointing to see Nzogbia start and Cleverley. Ah well. Yep, he is very injury prone. Also, this will be the end of either Okore or Clark, because Vlaar will not lose his place. DCJonah
Hope it is purely down to fitness but I'd be surprised. Nzog is a strange one, not sure why he keeps getting chance after chance.

I understand the precaution with him though.... but i still think Vlaars calf is more at risk here.

He's been in full training for ages now and played international football as well as the last run of games for villa.
