Babyshambles - Delivery. Class song

First thing in years that Pete has done that is any good!

Just finished listening to Noel present Radio 1 - I enjoyed what he had to play - some really obscure stuff, avoided the obvious - or when did offered a different version of a classic.

Still Crazy After All These Years and then Something So Right by Paul Simon.

His solo work really is good. I used to prefer the Simon & Garfunkel stuff, but now I'm not sure I can deside either way.

Jimmy Buffett - He Went to Paris

He went to Paris, lookin' for answers

To questions that bothered him so

He was impressive, young and aggressive

Savin' the world on his own

But the warm summer breezes

The French wines and cheeses

Put his ambitions at bay

Summers and winters

Scattered like splinters

And four or five years slipped away

Then he went to England, played the piano

And married an actress named Kim

They had a fine life, she was a good wife

And bore him a young son named Jim

And all of the answers

And all of the questions

Locked in his attic one day

'Cause he liked the quiet

Clean country living

And twenty more years slipped away

Well the war took his baby, bombs killed his lady

And left him with only one eye

His body was battered, his whole world was shattered,

And all he could do was just cry

While the tears were falling

He was recalling

Answers he never found

So jumped on a freighter

Skidded the ocean

And left England without a sound

Now he lives in the islands, fishes the pilin's

And drinks his green label each day

Writing his memoirs, losing his hearing

But he don't care what most people say

Through eighty-six years

Of perpetual motion

If he likes you, he'll smile and he'll say

"Jimmy, some of it's magic,

Some of it's tragic,

But I had a good life all the way"

He went to Paris, looking for answers to questions that bothered him so

Art Brut- Pump Up The Volume.

We'd taken our clothes off, in the rewarder

And you're leavin' your shoes to make you look taller

And I can't say I'm not enjoying the kissing

But I've a sneaking suspicion that you're not really listening

I know I shouldn't

Is it so wrong

To break from your kiss

To turn up a pop song

I know I shouldn't

And it's possibly wrong

To break from your kiss

To turn up a pop song

I'm taking it slowly

I've been reading the signs

I found my hand in a place

Where I can't tell if she minds

Rolling around amongst our clothes on the floor

I can't help it:

"Have you heard this song before?"

I know I shouldn't

Is it so wrong

To break from your kiss

To turn up a pop song

I know I shouldn't

And it's possibly wrong

To break from your kiss

To turn up a pop song

Then something angry muttered,

Between two people, red and flustered

We'd just kissed and that's about it

It may as well have been radio static

I know I shouldn't

Is it so wrong

To break from your kiss

To turn up a pop song

I know I shouldn't

And it's possibly wrong

To break from your kiss

To turn up a pop song
