ismail-villa
Oh how I'd love to see us make 'Arry look like a right knob. We should target Ferdinand with pace as his legs are shot. Worried about that Vargas chap though
Kingman
Richard Dunne, Scored 12 goals for his own clubs and 11 against. Level the scores agent Dunney.
AndJo
Guzan, Hutton Senderos Vlaar Aly Sanchez Westwood Cleverley Cole Gabby Benteke This would be the team id play. Really think Gabbys pace against Dunne and Ferdinand could be crucial
Kingman
We need pace and lots of it, The scallys caught them on the counter several times yesterday.
Ads
I would bring Grealish in and play him at the tip of a diamond. We need more guile around the box and he has that in abundance. Cleverly and Westwood behind him, the later further up to get his good range of passing closer to the opposition penalty box where it might do some damage. Sanchez would sit at the base. Most of the width on Saturday came exclusively from the full backs, despite the formation, so we wouldn't be sacrificing delivery by playing a more narrow shape anyway, not that shape should matter when you're attacking. Gabby to get another chance to partner Benteke, as I think his pace through the middle could really hurt QPR. They're a poor side, they put in a decentish display yesterday against an abject Liverpool, but still lost. They're bottom and their manager is likely on the brink of being sacked. Time to make in roads and stop the rot. Hopefully Senderos will be back fit (who thought we'd be saying that in August?!). I am backing an away win with a lot more attacking endeavour on display. Jimzk5
I think its got 0-0 all over it tbh, both teams will be desperate for a point. I would go Guzan Hutton vlaar senderos cissoko ----------sanchez------------ ---cleverley westood--------- -----------cole-------------- -----benteke weimann---------- But id put money on Cleverley Westwood Richardson Gabby benteke weimann Being the forward 6.

Raver50032
I really don't believe that a draw will be good enough. QPR are bottom of the league. After suffering bum rape for the last 4 games against 'top, top oppo,' we MUST beat teams like QPR when they are bottom of the league. No pressure then boys. A draw, doesn't go anywhere near stopping the rot for me here. In the real world, I worry about this fixture. Mr Cockney Twitchen will have his lot right up for this game, cuddly Aston Villa to divert all the gumph from their last outing v the scallys. Ads
A point away from home is a good result and its important we don't lose just to stop the rot, but I agree, QPR are one of the poorest sides in the league, maybe only Burnley are worse, so we're more than capable of getting a result. We have to be positive though and that means invention and that, for me, means Grealish centrally where he will get on the ball more. It's strange that QPR played they're best football of the season against a really poor Liverpool side, but still got beat. Sendros and Vlaar at the back to steady us and hopefully Benteke another game on to give us a lift. A very winable game, lets hope we approach it right. ArteSuave
This is a must win for them. 4 points from 8 and Chelsea and City up next. I think we're going to dick them.
Ads
This is a must win for them. 4 points from 8 and Chelsea and City up next. I think we're going to dick them. Fingers crossed. We've looked really comfortable (which is odd for us) against the teams mid-table and below plus Liverpool, but out of our depth against the top six minus Liverpool. Four defeats in a row, this is the sort of side you want to be facing to set the record straight.
VT Supporter Stevo985 Posted October 21, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted October 21, 2014 Unbelievably nervous about this for a game so early in the season. Really need a win to stop the rot, especially as we're inevitably going to roll over for Spurs
pacbuddies
If we can't do well against bottom club QPR with their ageing central defenders then things don't bode well.
