Tony Pulis is overrated and out of work

Absolutely right. If he let Pulis take charge of the transfers he would do a MON and screw everything up on over-paid, over-the-hill, journey men.

Parish must want Palace to make better use of the skilled players they already have which is possibly good news for Barry Bannan and Johnny Williams. Scandalous how they were frozen out under Pulis.

.

Did that coincide with them moving from rock bottom 21 weeks into the season to end up finishing 11th?

I've shown that Barry Bannan had a role to play in that happening. Remember he scored in that vital victory against Hull. His form was great. He was gradually eased out because Pulis just didn't want to play a skilled ball-player in the middle of the park.

Wow. Just wow.

Palace are ****.

They've got goalscorers.

Are there any promoted teams who wouldn't take Murray and Gayle? Oh yes, and this year they've got Frazier Campbell.

They're gonna score goals, and Bannan will deliver the goods. Just need the right manager.

Very strange.

After winning such plaudits for the job he did last year it must be something pretty serious for Pullis to put himself back on the unemployment list.  Likewise it must be pretty serious for the club to not keep hold of someone who did such a great job.  And it happens two days before the season starts.

Maybe we aren't currently the worst run team in the league.

It isn't all that much of a surprise though really is it, the timing perhaps but surely not the outcome.

The first murmurs of a fall out between Pulis and Parish started at the end of last season with suggestions he might go.

It seems that there have been issues almost from day one and it seems from the outside looking in that Parish wants to have a bit too much say in terms of transfers rather than backing his managers judgement. Earlier this week he was sat in the Sky Sports studio talking about player, what other chairman does that?

As for Pulis, he was on a hiding to nothing this season after his performance last season being cynical you could say its the perfect time and way for him to go. He will probably be in a better job by November.

Nevermind their survival which was down to him playing these so called 'over-the-hill' players.

Hmmm... terrible news for Crystal Palace.

Great news for us.

Probably but we said similar when Southampton ditched Nigel Adkins, you never can tell although I do agree with you.

Timing is pretty poor though. A manager walking out now just before the start of the season is the absolute worst time for it - we can attest to that.

What clubs want to do is buy awesome unknowns for £5 million and sell them for £20 million. That's how to progress, through developing decent up-and-coming players and selling them for a profit to the big boys. The way Pulis works, he wouldn't buy these untested up-and-coming players. He'd buy ready made players who cost a lot in wages. Great if they keep them in the league but if Pulis failed just once, Palace would be screwed. Parish is a fan, Palace have been in financial administration twice due to bad financial management, he's not going to put them in that position again, even if it means a more risky season with a more youthful squad.

Bannan is neither of those things.
