roonst83
What are we all thinking of the new camera angle? I seem to remember we had a similar one a few years ago. I cant make up my mind - it seems to make the ground look more full as it hides the empty seats well (perhaps this was in the thinking) but i'm always a bit miffed when things like this change - and I thought it was only in the cup we see different angles. Against Everton it was back to normal strangely. Just wondered what you lot thought about it? And if you knew the reasons behind it.
villan_007
I really didn't like it, couldn't see that game properly kibd of thing.
coda
Er, I didn't notice a change. Do you have any pictorial examples of before and after?
abdulaziz1
The older one was a lot better .. Now it reminds ne of West Ham or QPR cameras ..
Kwan
Agreed. Way too low. Doesn't capture the size of the pitch well
Mantis
Speaking of cameras, is that the reason why we have electronic ad boards in front of the Holte, Trinity and North but not Witton Lane?

avfc1982
You're obviously all very young because the camera position was always low at Villa Park until the new Witton Lane stand was built.
Tomaszk
New one is pants, can't see what's going on properly.
The Fun Factory
Its awful. It makes Villa Park look tiny and its far to close to the pitch. Its like those cack camera angle ITV have in the early FA Cup rounds when they do 10 second highlights of the matches. Though it isn't as bad as shite hart lane's view between two massive pillars. Still it might be a subtle way of getting people to watch the match live rather than shout at the television.
VT Supporter Nigel Posted November 14, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted November 14, 2013 Just wondered what you lot thought about it? And if you knew the reasons behind it. I think the cameraman is taller

AndyM3000
Not sure who's idea it is to keep moving these cameras lower. Over the last few years on MOTD I have noticed Bolton and West Ham do the same, just makes it hard to tell where exactly players are on the pitch, should always be high up. LondonLax
Ironic though that that is the angle the managers watch the game from. I have often wondered if they would be better off in the stands getting more of an over view.
AndyM3000
Maybe that is why Old Trafford has the dug outs are higher up? Would make sense. I hate watching a game from the lower stands and the first few rows, you cant tell whats going at all.
