There is no doubting the delights of Poundland but I much prefer the 99p shop at the other end near to Robinsons. It being owned by Asians they have a much wider range of stuff. One of my heroes, a dole-survivalist who I really admire, found that they had some huge catering-sized tins of spaghetti Bolognese and he bought as many as he could carry and he and his dog lived on nothing else for a fortnight.
