I'd love to see I agree. Im suprised by his recent improvement I was beginning to think he would amount to nothing Agreed - I think he has finally got a decent run in the side and seems to be staying fit. he is the senior man in the midfield with westwood and sylla new to the league. maybe he enjoys that? I think it's more to the fact that he for the first time is getting a proper run in our side without it being interrupted by a major injury. Downing used about a season before he started preforming, after his sever injury. Delph has had 3 of em. Next season Delph will shine, if he stays injury free.

I don't know mutch about goalkeeping, but what really amaze is that he's heading in the opposite direction yet he manages to react and reach it that far out? Amazing.

I've been critical of Lambert all season but you have to admit the guy has serious balls. Any other young manager would be terrified of alienating senior players. Lambert seems to relish it. I find it quite alarming I find it quite refreshing actually seeing as getting rid of "underperforming overpaid players who couldnt give a shite" was a priority of a section of fans last summer. It could be argued he has only done what we wanted. I think what he's doing is the only way to get the right mentality at the club. He's setting an example thats very clear for everyone to see. It's pretty much, work your ass off or you're out.

Playing for 70million sterlings extra for the teams that stay up. I'm sure QPR are willing to spend a few hundred thousand pound on each ref for the next 8 matches in an atempt to stay up. Borderline parnoid, but thats the thought I'm stuck with after watching the game,

I've had faith in him so far and I do the believe the pieces are starting to fall together. He has in my opinion made some very shrewd signings. He's been playing a team consisting of players making their debute in the premier league or our "youngsters" , in one of the thoughest if not the thoughest league in the world. Players can use a season or two before they even get used to the level of the premiership, and from there on they start improving into decent players. Just think about the amazing strides some of the players have been making, in one season, all at the same time. Our young players improves with experience and so does our young manager. Paul Lambert has been extremly stubborn, too stubborn in my opinion. Still think some of our senior players could have played an important part this season, and some of the "youngsters" will have to be moved on. However, if he manages to keep us up, and get to build on the spine of the team that's starting to take shape, I dare to say we'll be a top half club once again. Paul Lambert will go down in the history of Villa as madman or a genius.

Worst case scenario he'll turn out to be a decent squadplayer.
