I agree with your post but we won't be able to find an upgrade on him easily. He cost £20m+ for a reason, and that reason is that there is a dearth of centre backs available at the moment. Blockhead was £80m!

I'd be more worried about who is going to take the penalties if/when we get them. Ollie didn't have a good record at Brentford.

Not really, we'll still stay up. It just means that anyone who has unrealistic expectations of us finishing in the top 8 will be disappointed.

Yes, barring injury or suspension. We wont be resting anyone because we dont have any decent replacements.

There will always be the (incorrect) argument here that smith should have made changes when we lose/draw. You've said what everyone should know and accept, we have zero squad depth. We have 11 good first XI players that's it. We can't rotate, we can't rest players.

From what I have seen he's better than Berndt Leno. Very odd that Arsenal let him go but I'm not complaining.

Why does it have to be done quickly? If we have the option to buy him for a set price, which apparently we do, then it makes the most sense to wait until next summer before we commit to signing him. He could do a luc nilis.

Ireland supposed to be missing 13 players too. Just shows you how stupid these international matches are. Oddly enough if we lose tonight we will have a much better chance of qualifying for the Euro's as we will be relegated down to the lower Tier where might actually win some games and get into the playoff. It will mean that we are seeded lower for the World Cup draw but we won't qualify for the world cup anyway so it doesn't really matter.

Fargo season 4 has been good but the last two episodes were very slow and a bit too odd, even by fargo standards. Hopefully it ends on a high. I think 13 episodes was too ambitious, 10 would have been enough. Too much filler.

He should be aiming for 20 now, especially if he's going to be taking the penalties. Given the current VAR/Handball situation there will be a lot of them.
