  4. They are first to everything need to wake up
  5. Not started too quickly. Swansea looking for that through ball and over the top of our high line. Shelves is certainly capable of giving us a bad day.
  6. Lets just start all over again, wheres Mcgregor when you need him.
  7. Why would they remake Scarface? they can only **** it up
  8. What? Poyet is a good example of what we hope Sherwood will do to our season this season regardless of how he did it. The point is that look how irrelevant Poyets Sunderland turn around last season is too this season. Made in Aston will be judging him after a full Season or atleast hope that he gets to complete it as if he dosnt saving us will mean **** **** all by then.

Today some clearing in the woods made me spill milk all over myself and workplace then he started laughing at me. Word removed.
  10. Although Im inclined to agree with the point and admittedly I cant remember what I though of Poyet at the time something feels different about Sherwood and co. Whether its just because I cant remember what it felt like when we sacked a manager during the season and we got a "bounce" or Im intoxicated because of the positivity coming from manager, players and fans alike.
  11. Well as any takeover would be purchasing off Randy, talk about him is relevant. The state of the club is something that randy is responsible for and something buyers will be considering in their decision making.
  12. I'm not so sure. He's been far to happy to gamble with the long term future of this club with the way we've been run the past few years. I used to think like you but i've lost faith that he will care about anything but how much money he can recoup once the club is sold. I think he is now after his money. But I actually think the "cleansing" of the clubs big earners has been of benefit to the club. I think he has lost his good intention but in doing what he has been doing has actually left us financially in a ok place in terms of players wages. Our squad isnt terrible and the average wage and age of the squad must look good to an investor. Lerner saved us from Doug had his go and then will leave us in a position with a younger squad, with a lower wage, a CEO who seems to know what he is doing and is modernising the club, an up and coming manager (hopefully) and a bumper new TV deal on the way. Not a bad place to be if your capable of forgetting how we got there over the last 4/5 years.
  13. I look forward to the 2016 version of this thread. Seeing is believing and not until I see a Chinese consortium standing on the Villa Park turf with a red Villa kit and new signing £26 million Lee Catermole will I believe. I dont want to be a billionaires plaything, one thing we loved about Randy was his appreciation of Villas history. Beggers cant be choosers I suppose but the history of foreign takeovers reads very poorly for British teams.
  14. Another for the Simpsons, its poor now but for about 5 seasons it is fantastic. It broke alot of boundaries as well.
  15. Quiet yesterday but if he was able to deliver every game then he wouldnt be playing for us. If hed scored that sitter then we would be saying another good game. Still worked hard, he offers a goal threat and he is rapid so other teams are wary of him
  16. Think we will pull of an upset against one of Spurs, United or City. Predicting 12 points from the remaining games as minimum. Swansea, Everton, Burnley and United wins.
  17. Comments like this can often be seen as hyperbole but I believe it to be true. The second city should have a huge football club and it does, the fan base and infrastructure are there. The club has lacked belief for a long time. Even under Oniell and the backing of Lerner it was seen as a ride, something that we wouldnt keep up and we were pretenders and ultimately we were. Mentality has a big influence, Sherwood believes we are big club, he believes he is a top manager and that together we belong at the top. Money does talk though and that mentality is not enough to get us winning championships again not that anyone expects us too. It will push us forward, we have set out in games to win, be fitter, play with more desire and this will take us up the league. Will be interesting when we play some of the big boys again and how Sherwood approaches. I dont think he is niave and will just attack, he will demand that we compete, will be good see his tactics. I think now in Sherwood and Tom Fox we have some people at the club who demand the best.
  18. I feel like the club has woken up and all it took was us to be in the edge. Not at any point did I think I would be this engaged with Villa and our football. I had forgotten what it was like to be this interested in Aston Villa and how much I love a good Villa win. Our style of football and passion is infectious and I am proud to be a Villa fan at the moment. Early days and by no means out of trouble but Thanks Tim, keep the good feelings and results coming.
  19. Hoping we can keep him for another season. A whole season under Sherwood could see a spectacular season from Benteke. Still not at his best and scored 2. Gabby at his best and scored 2. Looking like he has woken up and the beast his hungry, defences will be dreading playing Villa if he hits his stride again.
  20. Another that I had slammed. Great to see him performing like he can, however I cant help but feel that he just wasnt putting the effort in in Lamberts last months.
  21. Will he get called up for the up coming England games?
  22. Im a big critic of Bacuna but he played very well in the first half today
