  1. If you are in the bottom three this changes drastically. The problem I have as each week goes on I see us getting worse, I see very little progress.
  2. 2 points above the relegation zone now with the likes of Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea to play within the next month..
  3. 2 points above the relegation zone now. We are in serious trouble. Weekend results haven’t helped.
  4. Unfortunately the past is the past. This season particularly has been dreadful, losing back room staff in the manner we did also stinks to be honest. The more the season goes on the more I’m convinced it wasn’t as amicable as it was made out. We look worse each week and we have some really rough fixtures coming up. We could quite easily come back a month later with zero points added to the board which will look like a lost opportunity.
  5. Our pre season looks more shambolic as the season goes on.
  6. The first real test for them.. I guess if they do get rid of Smith we will know a lot more about the direction of the club based on the new appointment.
  7. Five defeats in a row is damning. The main problem however is we look worse each week too which doesn’t help. I’d be surprised if he survives this.
  8. Looks like last summers shopping list.. Made me laugh when some on here tried to justify the club not buying a midfielder, even with Ramsey getting game time we were bound to get injuries. Made worse by the fact Sanson is constantly injured (surely the club had some idea during the summer) Really poor from the club, almost as negligent as that season with Bruce and our centre back problem.
  9. Probably losing all of them? And in the manner of defeats too, Wolves was really damaging. To be honest we should’ve beaten Spurs too, Son aside they were awful.
  10. We were crying out for another midfield signing in the summer.. Ashley Young coming on in midfield is pretty much admission the club failed in the market in the summer. Lange has to also take some responsibility.
  11. 5 defeats in a row if we lose against Southampton.. 3 points between us and the bottom three. He is making strange decisions we have almost become used to seeing when a manager has lost the plot. Seen it with Lambert etc only ends one way I’m afraid.
  12. It’s not great is it… let’s see how we do against West Ham. Worryingly the players look like they aren’t bothered anymore which doesn’t bode well. Another defeat would be really damaging especially if the others at the bottom start to pick up points. Still, I have faith he can turn it around.. this season atleast.
  13. The super league marlakey helped him this summer, took the heat off him and was directly at the board instead. They bought Ronaldo in and invested heavily this summer (Varane etc) and it’s now pressure on him again…
  14. I noticed this too when I watched the game yesterday, finally someone got to grips with it.
  15. I think it will come but it’s disjointed at the moment which was sort of expected
  16. Great result yesterday. Really impressed by the performance though, best I’ve seen us play at OT for a while. So glad our terrible record has come to an end there.
  17. I think people have been burnt by the past during the Lerner years, so any talks of “long term plans” are immediately met with scepticism .. we have had the “this crop of youth are different” .. “the three year plan” .. “the transition season” talk so many times only for us to languish near the relegation zone sell of our best players and eventually end up relegated. I think (and hope) this time is different though as we do have some level of investment in and we seem a bit more clued up in the boardroom atleast…
  18. Nobody is demanding anything from what I can see, this is another example of one extreme to another.
