Yeah no doubt, as I said I think they will produce the numbers… but I think people underestimate what else Grealish offered especially when under the kosh.

Think he has 12 months left on his contract maybe hence the fee.

Grealish beyond his stats/numbers offered a lot on the pitch we will miss. The amount of times he won us free kicks when we were under the kosh and helped us push up the pitch etc.. we will certainly miss those traits. That is tough to replace imo. I think Bailey, Ings and Buendia will produce the numbers though.

I don’t think we are in for him next summer with or without a release clause. I think his agent played a blinder same with ESR.

It’s clear though what the aim is this season from the club. This isn’t just fans making stuff up.

I have no problem with this if this were the case, talk of Europe from the club suggests otherwise though.

Maybe the club won’t pay for him the period he is off. It wouldn’t surprise me if a compromise of some sort was to be found.

Taking off my claret and blue specs for a minute.. he has more chance of winning big things with Argentina as he has proven already. Add in a short lived career - plus the fact it took him a while to get the number one spot. I can see why he wants to go. Obviously for us it’s bad news and you could argue he wouldn’t be number one without us.

I did say I think he would surprise a lot of people when he signed. I think working under Conte fitness wise has been brilliant for him.

Meh, decent point we move on. Would’ve taken it before kick off. I’m more concerned going forward with the difficult fixtures coming in and having what is essentially half a squad.

If Martinez is heading off for international duty we need another keeper. Steer is a major weak link.

Personally I really haven’t seen much of him in a Villa shirt to make a judgement either way so I’m surprised to read some say he is poor and equally some say he was good. It’s been that long since we last saw him too. Need a much larger sample size of games. I think he will come good though. We do need him to come good really, no other choice.
