He's back in the starting 11

This will be the toughest of these three games against "lesser" opponents in my opinion.

The RJW63 Official Jack Grealish Appreciation Thread
Mantis replied to kevangrealish's topic in Other Football
I honestly wouldn't want him back. For one thing it just wouldn't be good value for money compared to what we'd probably be able to get elsewhere. -
Lenglet is also over 2 years younger.

Yeah I honestly think this is a lot of it. We just don't have a very tall team. Even most of our CBs are fairly short by CB standards. Think the only ones above 6'1 are Torres and Mings.
-
I'd be minded to put Torres fairly high on the list. He oozes composure and that's probably the single most important quality for a shoot-out. Also many CBs have never even taken a penalty so not much data for the keeper to go on.
-
1. Luiz 2. Watkins 3. Bailey 4. Tielemans 5. Konsa
-
Yeah under O'Neill even when we were fighting for top 4 we didn't tonk teams very often. Under Emery we seem to do it on a semi-regular basis?
-
Yeah I still can't quite believe it at times. He came in and immediately turned us into a top 5 quality team for the first time in well over a decade. I thought we'd do well under him but I didn't think it'd be that sudden or sustained. The fact that we're a season and a half into his tenure and the very worst spells under him would've been bang average during the Lambert years says it all.
-
With all our injuries he's arguably become one of the most important players for us, albeit temporarily. We'd be absolutely **** if he got injured.

Hmm that could be anything from "it was just precautionary" to "he might be out for a few weeks".
-
Yeah given the circumstances he did very well.
-
So overhyped. The fact that they beat us twice didn't suddenly make them serious top 4 contenders, it just meant that their curse over us remains unbroken.
-
He is superb. Just unplayable at the moment.
-
Yeah it's bizarre how little recognition he's getting.

Think we showed a lot of grit to win that game today. Ok we should never have been in that position to almost throw it away in the first place but with Torres off and our 3 goal lead having been cut to 1 at the beginning of the second half I was fully expecting Forest to go on and get a third (at least). That we ended up getting the next goal and seeing the game out relatively comfortably is a huge boost.

Really hoping it was just a case of Emery being ultra-cautious. Suppose we'll find out soon.

Haha **** off Neville.

Made that harder than it should've been but a solid two goal win at the end of the day.

Possibly, although I do wonder what we'd do if offers of £100m+ started coming in. We bought him for (what is now looking like) a measly £31.5m. With FFP, I do understand why the club would be tempted to take the extra £70m headroom.
-
Have to say I do worry about a club like Real Madrid coming in for him in the summer. They could easily offer £80m which from a financial perspective would be hard to turn down.
-
Not really, but it's definitely one of the harder draws we could've gotten.
-
Even McGinn? Although yeah Watkins is definitely up there.
-
Wait hold on there's a THIRD Ramsey?

The media are absolutely desperate for their darlings Yerrrnited to sneak into the Top 4.
