  1. It's gonna be crazy when he makes his return to VP
  2. Unless I'm mistaken, since we last won at West Ham away, we've beaten Arsenal and Chelsea away twice each and Spurs away four times. Pretty crazy when you consider the relative positions of those clubs over that time period.
  3. I think it depends on the situation. Fact is Cash has been one of our weak links this season and it's worth remembering that some of our best performances this season have been with Konsa at RB. If Torres is playing then there's definitely merit in having Konsa there, so I can see why Emery is doing it.
  4. Worth noting that for all the talk about our away form earlier in the season, we've now only lost away once since early November.
  5. Ok but overall, Konsa has probably been better at RB than Cash this season.
  6. I think it's been a good weekend for us tbf. Spurs got thrashed, we rescued a point under difficult circumstances, and United are through to the next round with a distraction while playing basically the maximum number of minutes.
  7. United to win on penalties please, but with every single taker pulling their hamstring in the process of scoring their penalties.

Most of it has been enforced by injuries in fairness.
  9. United to win in extra time or on penalties would be ideal for us.
  10. Cash did end up looking better, but prior to kick-off I don't necessarily think that was obvious at all.

Thing is this again comes down to what he has available. I'm almost certain that if Carlos is fit he starts today instead of Lenglet.

At the end of the day, if McGinn and Kamare are available then neither of these "experiments" happen. birdman is right - Emery isn't trying to be too clever he's just trying to make the best out of what he's got right now.

Because it's not simply a case of being wrong or not, it's a case of working or not. Just because the initial plan didn't work doesn't mean it was inherently flawed.
  14. He tried something which given our injuries and suspensions was understandable which didn't work out, which he sorted and we got a point. Again, that's not "making a mess". Also who said criticism of Emery wasn't allowed?

I'd hardly call getting a point from a difficult away fixture, one we haven't won in 13 years, with so many of our key players missing and while juggling European football, "making a mess".
  16. I think he's played himself back into the team.
  17. Good weekend. We moved a point further ahead of Spurs with a +3 swing in GD in our favour from roughly equal difficult fixtures.

So much for Emery being "stubborn". At the end of the day he's juggling so many different factors right now. With injuries and suspensions we really are down to the bare bones in certain departments.
  19. Decent point. Crap first half but looked a lot better in the second.
  20. Today was a real morale booster because it shows that Spurs are just as capable as us of randomly serving up a dreadful performance.
  21. What a fine club Fulham are. Always there for us when we need them most.
  22. True, but also makes our win at Craven Cottage look even better.
