Torres is basically what Clark was originally hyped up to be.
True but in terms of technical ability they were both dire. I know the game has moved on a lot since then but even back then they were very poor with the ball for top-level CBs.
Yeah it's bizarre. He consistently gets double figures in the Premier League which is actually quite difficult in and of itself but he also provides a shedload of assists.
I do agree with you but in fairness, there was some horrendous refereeing decision in that Sheffield United game. In most of the games we've not won this season the refereeing wasn't really decisive but in that game it definitely was.
Think what grates on a lot of people is that sometimes they'll apply the "high bar" for intervention, but other times they won't and will seemingly look for any reasons to get involved.
One of the BBC commentators mentioned after their loss today that Tottenham are now out of the race for the title, as if they were even seriously in it before today. Bizarre how much title hype they've got compared to us.
Obviously we're not in the title race anymore, but worth pointing out that we're only 6 points behind Arsenal in 2nd who most people would accept are having a very good season.
If we can make it through the first 20 minutes without conceding any stupid goals we've got a chance. 4 of our 6 league defeats this year have come within the first 17 minutes, indeed 3 have been within the first 10.
