  1. They were there for the taking at OT and we still managed to balls it up. We need to raise the intensity in games. Playing slow is for when your in the lead. Our biggest problem recently other than a crap defence is starting games too slow. If you look at every game we've excelled it's been through starting quickly. It's a problem and needs rectifying.
  2. We started far too slow and now find ourselves chasing the game. We've been decent but just over playing in the final third and taking too long to get shots off. We really need to be more intensive from the get go instead of giving ourselves too much work to do. I don't understand why Torres is on the bench if he isn't fit enough to start, you could easily take him off later on if necessary.

  4. I agree.... The thing is as kids they get lauded over before even getting to the pro's. For what it's worth he's supposed to be a really good lad but like many boxers who've been in the gym since they were kids, sooner or later many end up playing up as adults. I had similar experiences myself as a 17/18 year old after 9 years in a gym and 6 boxing in the amateurs. You go a bit crazy when you hit a certain age unless you've got the right people keeping you on the straight and narrow. One of my good friends as a kid, and a fantastic amateur ended up on heroin, It ruined his life. And yeah, some kids are brilliant amateurs but when it comes to the pro's they never quite have the pop in their punches to hang with the big boys. Having a good level of power and ring craft as a bloke is such a determining factor when stepping into the pro's.
  5. Frankie Gavin was a coke head and just not dedicated the way he should have been. He was doing it right they way through his career. Facts
  6. Turned Carlson inside out with nonsense about Russian history and borders without really getting to the crux of the murders of innocent civilians and what the majority of Ukrainian people actually want which is separation from Russia claiming that the conflict is more a civil war. What I also found despicable was early on in the interview when he pointed out that Poland were in someway responsible for their own destruction and the extermination of the Jews during WW2 by not giving Hitler what he wanted when the facts are Hitler was a evil c*** and Russia wanted to take a portion of the Poland itself just like they wanted Finland. I'm sure people around the world will see this as an extraordinary interview but the facts remain that without Putins orders and Russian aggression in since 2014 and also since 2022 over a million humans would still be alive. Both Ukrainian and Russian. But yeah, good diversion from the real issues. I'm actually amazed that most the comments on all channels reporting this see him as some sort of great leader when he's no different to any of the warmongering clowns that have ruled throughout history around the globe and used it's citizens as cannon fodder. No doubt Western agencies and news channels cherry pick what they report but Putin is a smug little rat with no remorse. It's always the wrong individuals doing the interviewing. Carlson is a dumbass and Putin knew it from the get go which is why he tied him in knots during the first hour spouting nonsense that has no real relevance to what is still happening in Ukraine.
  7. Putin: Occupied Ukrainian regions to be integrated with Russia by 2030 (msn.com) I think it's more a case of prepping Russians for a few more years of war. Also mentioning for Russian banks not to worry about economic sanctions etc. He's an utter tosspot tbh and obviously has become so ego driven he doesn't give a monkeys what he does to his own people.
  8. So Vlad has now proclaimed that all occupied Ukrainian territory needs to be integrated into Russia and fully developed by 2030 indicating they have no intention of ending things anytime soon. Good luck with that Russia. Ukraine will never let them completely settle in these areas. He's a complete clown if he thinks Ukrainians are just going to give in anytime soon and stop attacking Russians on their own territory.
  9. Yep.... dirt bags the lot of them. And when people think they'll be voting for the lesser of two evils.... big lolz all around. Both parties are absolutely turgid.
  10. That's pretty good accuracy, even being able to see the internal damage from the port side of the ship before the second explosion.
  11. Emery doesn't need to sell him the club, just sell him the weed. He'll find enough of that in Brum.
  12. They're pretty smart at Villareal and realise longer contract could see them paying for him to be injured.
  13. Don't give up the day job pal..... or escape the asylum. And he's from Halesowen. The M5 was purposely built to keep them from invading Brum. Obviously it's not working the way it was meant to
  14. Come on Folly... He's not been celibate for the last 2 years ffs. All of a sudden he's had a dip in form and it's down to shagging too much. You know how ridiculous that sounds.
  15. An unfair argument imo blaming fans for the atmosphere or for leaving early, especially when the result is a forgone conclusion. We've had a large amount of variable match times this season including last night. Kicking off at 8:15 on a week day, with kids at school the following day which is an absolute joke tbh. Then considering how late some of the games are finishing due to injury time. Traffic, long journeys, utter garbage rail service, City Council out at night ticketing fans vehicles wherever they can. The home crowd has been absolutely fantastic this season.
  16. "Ahhh, don't worry.... I'll look after little Andy like a big brother..... or a dad"
  17. So your to blame for his gambling and womanising After all these years it finally comes out
  18. In your opinion. And I'm sure many other including myself see Dougie as the main man in this team. It shows the value of both players tbh
  19. I find it crazy that posters see DL as dispensable and pick out others that aren't. POTS last year, in the mix for it this year. Probably our most missed player when he's not on the pitch, but yeah, lets sell him.
  20. Dougies from Rio though Nick Rio > Birmingham > definitely back to Rio I agree with your post though. Many do linger, especially if it's where they met partners and had kids etc.
  21. What about Suso? Smith knew nothing about DL until he was mentioned and I'm not sure he would've been responsible for Martinez initially either. I think sometimes it's easy to forget the individuals that get the players in that have transformed the club, Lange included. It shows imo the greatest signing will always be the manager because with him players never flourish.
  22. If I'm honest, the idea of spending regularly what we spent on Diaby would concern me. If we did I'd think we'd have lost our way like so many other clubs do, gambling away hoping to strike gold. I'd much rather as a club we continue to breed stars rather than buy them, and with the right manager and staff you can.
  23. I think your post is good but I just cannot agree with this statement. Dougie 15m, Konsa 11, McGinn 2, Youri 0, Kamara 0, Ramsey 0, Emi 20, Moreno 13, Cash 15, Torres, 30, Watkins 30, Bailey 30..... The players are about to compete and affordable, we just need to find more of what we have. We've spent very little to get where we are in the grand scheme of things. I don't think major work is needed. And yes, we can say they all needed development, but if it's not development it's time to settle, and sometimes those less established without the pressure can become the perfect buy. You don't need just established players, you need a mix. A bit of everything. A star or two next to a water carrier, next to a bundle of energy, next to a power house, next to a speedster. There are loads of ways to build a squad good enough to compete without thinking the only way to improve is buy increasing our individual spend all the time. The trick is having the right individuals to spot a) what we need to improve b) where to get them at the right price. They don't have to be superstars or expensive buys, they just need to be what we need not necessarily what everyone else wants. We are literally 3-4 players away from being a solid top squad that will compete with anyone on our day and in the PL for the next 5 years, that's the best you can ask for because nothing is guaranteed. The idea we cannot compete because we don't spend as much as the Chelsea's or Utd's is for those that want excuses. Look where spending has gotten them recently.
