  1. I think the star, if there needs to be one should be above the badge. I'm not taken with having it next to the lion. Anyway, it's the last moan I'll have on the subject..... until there is something else to moan about.
  2. If this is indeed the final design then I don't see how that lion can be transferred to a wearable item, like a football shirt. It may well be the badge but the lion doesn't give the appearance of any flexibility. Elements look very similar to the learner badge with the use of rubber, which I prefer to the embroidered finish. I think an embroidered finish with the lion is what you'll get. What I don't understand though is why submit a design with a drop shadow for the lion and not the lettering when the lettering is just as prominent and gives a more shadowy effect.
  3. TBF to Chambers he's been providing nothing but cover long enough, he could go into selling tarps, waterproofs and even become a roofer. It's not all bad.
  4. Been absolutely brilliant in moments during his time here and I don't have anything bad to say about him personally(sicknote) but it is definitely time to move him on. He should have gone last summer tbf. So it's a pat on the head and a boot up the arse out the door for me. In a nice way.
  5. Definitely not. He's either injured or bench warming. He'd be a terrible option, inflated wages for someone else that has huge limitations in his game. Bielsa broke him physically and Pep broke him mentally, especially claiming he couldn't find a role for him. He's lost the best part of 2 seasons and just isn't what we want. Playing for England means nothing whist Southgate is in charge. imo of course.
  6. I'd be shocked if we brought in another left footer in Dybala. We're already stacked with left footed inverted players, which is how he plays. Great player when he's fit but don't see the PL as a destination for him as I think it would be too physical for him with his injury record. Chelsea sounds about right for him tbh.
  7. Replace the N with a P, add a Y at the end and you can see why there involved with sha.
  8. I would say anyone buying a Villa item with that badge on is a million percent buying snide gear. Coming to a market stall near you soon.
  9. I think my major gripe with him at the moment is the delay in getting the ball to Bailey. More often than not he delays, then checks back, the option is then gone and he then plays safe. I've seen Emery lose his shit about this, iirc it was the last away game in Europe we played.
  10. I've heard after seeing the problems we've had this season with soaking wet kits, Haglofs have stepped into the fray.
  11. The badge looks like it's been electrocuted.
  12. Really good example of some finely written sarcasm.
  13. Why not, they produce some superb kits. I'd be more excited with Puma than Nike who we've had before. Adidas would be questionable based on how they produced the kit due to the stripes. I'd take Puma all day over the others tbh. New Balance would be cool too.
  14. No really. Once the clause is triggered they have to give us the option to buy at a previously agreed fee. It stops them taking the piss at a later date if we take up that option based on him fitting in and racking up the appearances. I do agree with others though. Based on the fact the loan fee was apparently quite high, it seems the club have used it to leverage the buy later on, probably for ffp purposes. That's how I see it based on the info..... We want him, but wanted a look first and it's cost us a hefty down payment, just in case.
  15. I don't think there is any chance he goes back this Jan. He's a highly regarded player so I would gather there will have been assurances given to him in order to do any deal. Regardless of how he's currently performed or turns out for us he'll have no shortage suitors. He's on 21 appearances currently so it would be interesting to know what the triggers are for the permanent deal to be activated.
  16. Spill the beans then? Or at least give us a clue.
  17. I think it looks crap tbh.
  18. Spot on. The other point to make is that with the improvements on the pitch will have also had a massive impact on next season kit supplier and the revenue. Like you said, the kit is an easy win considering the crap with Castore. So when we get 50m a season lol for the new kit it will be because of Good looking b******* like Moreno and Luiz wearing the kit. The lads putting in amazing performances, and of course the Don for all the good work.
  19. How does the loan fee get round FFP. Do you mean by delaying the purchase but acquiring the asset?
  20. Me too, I was thinking about the Italian kits as I've had some of the Puma gear myself. Really nicely produced..
  21. I love Adidas but not sure how the stripes would look on a Villa kit, it might look horrendous. I'd like Puma or New Balance. Puma design some of the best kits around imo, different designs and detailed.
