  1. I was at the game. My view was that it really was a training exercise. How anyone can read too much into that game I don't know. We lost 1 goal because Lowry gave away a penalty. We lost the 2nd goal when our team was Guzan, Lowry, Beye, Clark, Herd, Bannan, Gardner, Hogg, Albrighton, Ireland & Delfouneso. Apart from Ireland & Albrighton, that's basically our reserves.
  2. Why? Because 11 Aston Villa players didn't beat 11 Derby players? Players that got on the pitch that probably won't play be major starters for us this season: Guzan, Clark, Herd, Lowry, Beye, Bannan, Gardner & Hogg. Players that didn't even get on the pitch: Given, Collins, Dunne, L Young, Warnock, Petrov, N'Zogbia, Gabby, Heskey. :? It's a friendly, it's for fitness. Just because they're wearing claret & blue, doesn't mean they automatically should win the game.
  3. Guy in a white top who the stewards took down the steps? yep absolute tool sat right in front of him as he spouted utter drivel. I told him theres a place 3 miles away from villa park called small heath which has a club hes better of supporting I saw him too, he was ranting and raving and even started to pick a fight with a Villa fan who disagreed with him. I'm not bothered by the loss, I clapped the lads at the end. It's a run-out for fitness, we didn't have a single member of our first-choice back 5 in the team. As others have said, Braga will be the real test and will give us an indication of how we will be playing this year.
  4. I agree with this, but this could be said for any player that has been in our side for the past few seasons; simply because of the fact that we have lost a lot of quality.
  5. I think that's the main issue Nath, parents! In my experience, parents are generally more protective of a girl than they are a boy. When I stop at my house, I feel at ease. When I stop at a girls house, it does play on my mind that her parents could knock the door at any time.. just to 'check up' (or... interrupt!!!) That said, I like it when I can get along with a girls parents.... ... so that, ultimately, they accept that I'm doing the dirty with their daughter!
  6. Getting through a whole game of 5-a-side without injuring one of my glass ankles!!!
  7. Not right this second.... but recently in my car I was listening to one of my all time, favourite cds.. and it starting skipping NOFX - The War on Errorism
  8. A whole pound!!!! Good to see you putting your money where your mouth is I know I'll donate between 5 and 10 pounds when my lion turns silver anyway, so I could have put any amount below £10.01 and it wouldn't have made a difference!
  9. I predict that this season he will make a few appearances and he'll play so well that we'll continue playing him. Then, he will catch the eyes of MOTD and the papers will be full of rumours of him moving to Man Utd/ Liverpool/ Arsenal... BUT! He will stay with us because he's a villan!!! That's my prediction. £1 to VT if that doesn't happen!
  10. Same here. I reckon we'll see a purchase next summer for central midfield. Petrov, Ireland, Bannan, Delph, Makoun, Hogg & Gardner will have to make do, for now. Petrov & Makoun I have confidence in. Ireland & Delph could be hit and miss. Bannan, Hogg & Gardner could be risks.
  11. Gardner looked good Today! A decent first appearance for the first team, if non-competetive. He's an odd one though. He's a strapping lad, looks good in the tackle, has good vision and can pass... do we shove him in a central midfield 2 or 3? Makoun, Gardner & Delph would be a good central midfield in the future, imo.
  12. Are we allowed ten subs next season? :winkold: Mike
  13. 5 year contract?!?!? Good work Villa! Even if N'Zogbia tears up the league in the next 2 years, he'll still have enough time on his contract for us to keep him another 2 years (or to at least tell the buying club where to go (or ask them for £40m)). I'm chuffed that N'Zogbia has signed! I think we all knew it was going to happen, but it was taking so long that there was always a niggling worry that something might break down. ------------- Given -------------- Young - Collins Dunne Warnock ------- Petrov -- Makoun ------- Albrighton - Ireland - N'Zogbia -------------- Bent -------------- Bench: Marshall, Clark, Beye, Lichaj, Baker, Delph, Bannan, Gabby, Fonz, Heskey This is the team I expect to see against Derby, and I can't wait!
  14. Dress down friddayyyyyyyyyyy (I don't work with Gareth... but I am in dress down Today!)
  15. All that post is missing is a GarethRDR-speculation-style photo of N'Zogbia Otherwise, excellent!
  16. Just go to hers Warnock! What's the fuss? It's more of a challenge when you have to be quiet and slow down (..any noises) when someone walks past in the corridoor!
  17. Match Highlights Not sure if anyone seen these already. 2 minutes of highlights of the game.
  18. I had that with one of my ex's, nothing popped out whilst in the act... it was when I pulled out, I saw something I'd rather not have seen. Maybe that's what's put me off!!
  19. Haha maybe.. I'm 24 so I can't imagine any of the girls I'm getting with being loose... yet.. I never had any horror stories, though I will admit that after reading lapal_fan's comment about being 'uneasy and uncomfortable', I did stop reading back in the thread... just incase it puts me off it even more!
  20. Working between 5 and 7pm. I take calls all day and this week I'm working lates. It's the first week we've been taking calls after 5pm, so no-one really knows that we're open. I should enjoy it... sitting here for 2 hours (taking about 4 calls in that time), but I feel frustrated that I could be at home or out doing something different!!!! (Though I know.. I'll just get home and play guitar/ ps3/ watch tv )

Happy Birthday packoman!! I think 19 was my favourite age. Out every other night getting drunk, rolling into college the next day (which was a complete doss anyway), having hours free inbetween lectures just to have a laugh with college mates. 21 was when things got serious!
  22. Same here. I've done it with quite a few ex-gfs, but now I've slightly gone off the idea. Not sure why!

Keep the updates coming guys! I'm at work and this is keeping me occupied!!
  24. As B6 says! Good on you mate. There are a few different views on here regarding living together. I think, if it works for you then stick with it. The only problem will be if it stops.working and you then have a big panic and want to leave asap. Though neither of you want another relationship right now, or in the next 12 months, it could still happen and that's when things might get a bit awkward and painful. I wouldn't have a second thought about the desire to do any lady-smashing right now. That'll all be part and parcel of the healing process and I wouldn't expect anyone coming out of a long marriage to be perfectly comfortable with that idea too soon. Thats my 10 pence worth. Who knew VT actually had a sensitive side? I'm now off out to look at boobs, spit, hit something with a hammer and buy a multi-purpose remote control!
