I disagree. I don't give a shit about his grin or his jumper or a rap video, which I haven't even seen. I like the fact that he is a good footballer. From what I've seen (every game he's played in), he is the quickest passer we have (perhaps on a par with Ireland), makes himself available for the ball more than any of our players and is one of the cleverer players that we have. EDIT: When I mention Ireland. I mean the Stephen Ireland at the top of his game. He hasn't shone in all of his games, admittedly, but in the majority of the games I've seen, he has been ONE OF our better players. I just want him to be given more time to show what he can do, with a settled team. Woodytom, I agree with you that we have other options and the youngsters should be given a chance too. But I don't see that as a reason to get rid of or not play Makoun. We all know that Petrov's fitness dips towards the end of games/ seasons. So I think that Makoun and Petrov rotating would be a good idea.

The fact that so many people like him, despite his lack of gametime, means something surely BJ10? If you don't think he's a good player then fine, but a lot of people, myself included, can see in him a clever, quick passer who always makes himself available for the ball, who can play decent through balls and, from previous clubs, can chip in with a few goals too.

I've just been peering off my bed every few minutes incase it creeps out while I'm watching dvds. If I do see it tonight I'm just going to throw a shoe at it.

I just saw a huuuuge spider on my bed, I quickly finished my drink and tried to catch it in a glass but it scuttled under the bed. I've just spent the last 10 minutes looking for it, no joy. I should have just hit it with something instead of trying to be nice and just catch it. I'm not really scared of spiders, but I rarely sleep fully under the covers and I don't like the idea of it crawling all over me in the night! Bloody little squatter. Tomorrow I'm doing a full search, and if I can't find him/ her, I will just smash the place up until I find a crumpled spider corpse!

I have shares in Barclays. Because I'm an employee, every month money goes out of my payslip into shares, which I don't get taxed on. Barclays match £600 a year, so even if the price does drop I should still come out on top (unless it drops drastically).

I went to the doctors yesterday and got a sicknote for two weeks! Woooooooo! I told him that it hurts when I work, but the main reason is that one-handed-work is boring and I don't like buses.

Sounds like the type of rumour someone would make up. Simply because it really would mess up our whole season. Not that I'm saying your friend has made it up.

I've renewed mine. I would only stop renewing if I couldn't afford if, if I got bored of football in general or if, like wiggy, I had a kid and wanted to spend more time with him/her in the early years. No amount of poor results, managers, transfers or players would stop me going.

Delph is quality based on what? Largely anonymous and does not offer any penetration. Takes too long on the ball and is totally over rated. How he can start a game over Makoun, Bannan or Gardner is totally beyond me. I think he is poor to say the least and offers very little indeed IMO, he is quality based on what I have seen of him in the last 2 years (most, if not all, of his appearances for us). He has the confidence and ability to take on players, he can shoot, he has an eye for a pass and he doesn't shy away from tackles (even if he does go a bit 'Paul Scholes' at times). He has all the qualities that you want in a top class central midfieler. He just needs to get some gametime and start showing ALL of his qualities, instead of one or two dotted throughout 90 minutes. What makes you think he is 'poor to say the least'? How many times have you seen him in the last 2 seasons?

Somebody like NRC unfortunately. .......but better. Hence why he isn't here anymore, look at where he's ended up - that tells you everything about how good he is. If we can lose someone from the wagebill and bring in a face then any of Palacious, Parker, De Jong? (though probably out of our pricerange), Huddlestone?, Mulumbu? or someone from abroad could fill a gap to play alongside Makoun & bring Delph through (with Petrov providing some experience to see out the last half an hour of a game). Though, unfortunatly, I think that Petrov will be one of our starters and he will provide a calming influence until his legs go and players roam past him.
