  1. Petrov against West Ham, first game of last season with McDonald in charge?
  2. I hope he continues to be MOTM for the rest of the loan spell, then maybe someone will give us £10,000 for him and we can get him off our wagebill for good.
  3. Damn! Pat beat Me by 15 minutes!! That'll teach Me to post a reply after leaving the internet page in the background of my work for 20 minutes!
  4. I think that formation would be quite narrow. Before when we played the diamond, I think we had Delph and Bannan in the wider roles, so that, if needed, they can drop onto the wing. I don't know how confident I would be with Petrov or Jenas on the wing. Bannan switching with Jenas is a start, but I'm still not sure how it would work out, having Petrov in the wider role (unless Gabby is expected to float about infront of the midfield).
  5. As poor as Hutton has been, I quite like watching him and Herd go crunching into tackles!
  6. I'm a big fan of Delph, but I thought he was pretty poor Yesterday. Like others have said, I think we need to see him playing in a more advanced role to see him perform better. He is good at running at opposition players, without worrying about having only the defence behind him. I'd like to see Gardner playing alongside Petrov/ Herd, and then have Delph further forward. Though, we have a lot of players that play in a similar position... Ireland, Bannan, Delph, Gardner & Jenas can all play in an attacking midfield role. If they can all get experience, we might have a nice set of players to rotate. But it's going to be a tough task to get them all the game time and experience that they'll need.
  7. I think it's possible to think that Aston Villa is a great club, but also understanding that there are wage demands that need to be met, along with financial contraints that Randy wants to address; whilst still being positive that we can climb back up the table - in time. That's my view ^
  8. If anyone has got AVTV, watch the highlights of the Nextgen game against Ajax, and skip to 8 minutes 8 seconds. Jordan Graham takes on 4 players in the space of 6 seconds (only for the ref to then blow the whistle for a foul, instead of playing an advantage as Graham was heading towards the box). I've never seen much of him, but if he can improve and show that skill consistently, he could be a good player - a 2008-Ashley-Young style player, hopefully!
  9. I don't doubt he's well known wiggy, I just can't see us selling him anytime soon. I know footballers don't know loyalty, but I honestly see him in the Gabby bracket, as opposed to the Stewart Downing bracket. There's definatly a chance he could be sold at some point, but I'd imagine he'd prefer to give his boyhood club a few decent years before he thinks about moving on. My guess is that he'll sign a nice long contract, probably for 5 years, then he'll either stay for the majority and move to a big club for a big sum (if he lives up to his hype), or he'll continue to stay at Villa, like Gabs. (Though, that's all on the assumption that he's doing to be a quality player!)
  10. Doubt it, with the clowns running our club Gardener will probably be loaned out all season and then sold Idiots Doubt it. Daft comment imo. I would happily bet you some money that Gardner will not go anywhere anytime soon (next 2/3 years)
  11. I'm not very good at Kill Confirmed. I tried it last night and people kept stealing my kills. I would have had triple the points I deserved if people hadn't either pinched my tags before I got there, or shot Me as I was sprinting to pick some tags up  !!! I swiftly went back to Team Deathmatch to make the most of my double points!
  12. How about this.. ----------------- Given --------------- Hutton - Dunne - Clark - Warnock -------- Gardner --- Herd ----------- N'Zogbia ---- Ireland --- Agbonlahor ------------------ Bent ------------------- I suppose thats not much of a change.. Collins for Clark, Gardner for Petrov and Ireland for Bannan/ Heskey. Still, I have faith that Ireland can do well in the right system. N'Zogbia started to play better before he was dropped against Spurs. I think I'm just sick of seeing people walk past Petrov, while he drips of sweat, then seeing Collins go sliding across the floor time after time.
  13. 3-0 Villa, youth to beat the ageing spuds. -------------- Given ---------------- Hutton - Clark - Dunne - Warnock --------------- Herd ---------------- --------- Delph -- Gardner -------- Delfouneso -- Bent --- Agbonlahor Bench: Guzan, Collins, Cuellar, Bannan, Petrov, N'Zogbia, Heskey 1st sub: Bannan for Delph in the 60th minute (for a bit of extra creativity when Delph picks up his yellow card). 2nd & 3rd subs: Petrov for Herd & N'Zogbia for Fonz in the 75th minute (to inject a bit of experience into the side to cement the win). :winkold:
  14. I will be gutted if he starts Tonight. He hasn't been playing badly, but I just dread him being in the starting line-up. He kills our creativity and halts any counter attacks.
  15. So....BF3 is shite because they tried to copy COD?? Gotcha I think COD is worse because they've tried to copy BF, personally! BF is too quick and frantic, that's what COD is like now. Though... it's more realistic! Two bullets would kill someone in real life.. So at least COD is nice and realistic :winkold:
  16. I disagree, I think Hutton has been average with a few decent attacking runs. However, the majority if Beye's performances have been bad, imo. He's dreadful and I would prefer to see ANY of our defenders at right back instead of him.
  17. I wish you would bloody shut up. Go back to battlefield and stop bothering us people that actually want to play MW3 !!!! :winkold:
  18. If that's the case, we may aswell sell our whole squad except for Given, Gabby, Bent and Petrov.
  19. The stats? According to statistics, he's our third most creative player. Ahhh but Gareth, it is a matter of opinion whether you think that being our third most creative player is 'doing very well' or not. I personally think that Habib Beye is doing well and Gabby Agbonlahor is just a drain on our wages. :winkold:
  20. I will buy this game on payday, in a week or two! If you're all still playing then (PS3), add me 'Robbb182' and I'll show you what I'm made of!!! (Similar stuff to Stevo985, by the sound of it)
  21. players on their way up, rather than on their way down. agree Like Shorey & Davies? Transfers can be hit and miss wherever they're from. I don't think we can just say 'Don't buy players that aren't playing for clubs that are currently higher than us!' What if Milner wasn't playing for City? I'd want him back if he wanted to come. Each transfer should be judged on the player and the situation they are in.
  22. Yup, and they're in the same league as Sky Arseal and Face Everton
