  1. Bought my MacBook Pro in 2013; I still use it everyday, looks brand new and is the same speed as the day I bought it. Cost me around £1,300 at the time with a student discount applied but it's probably the best purchase I've ever made. I would like to upgrade to a new version now as I'm sure they are a lot better; but I have absolutely no reason to.
  2. Really looking forward to seeing Sanson this season. I think we will begin to see the best of him once he gets his match fitness back; a cameo tomorrow and a full 90 under the belt on Tuesday should stand him in good stead.
  3. Martinez Cash Konsa Mings Targett McGinn Nakamba Buendia Chukwuemeka Bailey Ings Would like to see what Chuk could do in that number 10 role; but wouldn’t be against Ramsey starting there if he’s not ready for it. Sanson or Luiz to come on to sure up the midfield if needed in the 90 minutes.
  4. Watkins literally got injured whilst playing up front with Ings
  5. Annoying but it is what it is. This squad should be more than capable of beating Newcastle without Watkins. Get him back fit and firing next weekend.
  6. This is the only correct answer. Although I wouldn't mind seeing Young at left back if Targett is anywhere near as off the pace as Saturday.

    Masks !

I've been to Walsall, Bristol and Watford so far this season and haven't worn a mask to any; haven't really thought about it to be honest. However there were a few people with them on; I noticed a few yesterday and a handful of fans in the home end were wearing them.
  8. Not going to slate Mings as defensively he’s arguably one of our best defenders. But some of his passing yesterday was way off, so many long balls that didn’t find a target. in my opinion though it all comes back to the missing midfielder, in Nakamba he’s got a midfielder who isn’t trusted on the ball to distribute from the back. We really need to fix this before the window closes.
  9. It's hardly a secret that El Ghazi isn't a right winger and isn't very good there. Baffles me when we end up playing him there; especially when we have 3 wingers on the bench and 1 on the pitch who can play there.
  10. Thank god I'm not a football manager
  11. I would play both, Young at LW with Bailey replacing him second half. Keeps it tight defensively for 60 minutes down the left.
  12. I watched that entire video with my mouth open, incredible. However, how poor is the defending in the Bundesliga.
  13. Can anyone confirm if this is it? Or is it just a mock-up?
  14. Not sure if this has been shared but it's a pretty good description of Anguissa and exactly why I want us to sign him. He's effectively a defensive midfielder but could also play in central midfield next to another player allowing them to push forward. I would be all over this if we are unable to go for Bissouma who I imagine is out of our reach.
  15. It's all quite simple really... difficult but simple... To get hold of the lucrative sponsorship deals, the top shirt sponsorships, and the partnerships to all types of businesses; you have to be able to offer something back to them. The reason the top teams in England have these deals is because they are on the biggest stage, Champions League football and being watched by millions each week in the Premier League. Success brings with it sponsorship, and sponsorship brings with it money. For us to increase our commercial revenue we have to improve on the pitch; and it's something that won't happen in one season. We are on the right path, and we will continue on this path under our owners.
  16. If we are missing Buendia and Watkins I would play it safe, stick to a formation we know with Young on the left to cover Targett against Sarr. Martinez Cash Konsa Mings Targett McGinn Nakamba Traore Ramsey Young Ings If we are missing Buendia but Watkins is fit; same again but Ings playing off Watkins Martinez Cash Konsa Mings Targett McGinn Nakamba Traore Ings Young Watkins With Buendia and Watkins fit I feel like we could properly take the game to Watford Martinez Cash Konsa Mings Targett McGinn Nakamba Buendia Ings AEG Watkins
  17. Not seen Vikings yet but watched all of The Last Kingdom earlier this year; loved it!
  18. Not too worrying that we haven't got a buy option in the loan; although I would have preferred it. Axel is most likely going to be 3rd choice CB; behind Mings and Konsa. Although I am sure he will get some gametime throughout the season. If he was coming in as a first choice, I would be more worried about the lack of a buy option as his value could increase over the course of the loan if he performs well.
  19. I agree with what some people have said, Ings is going to be starting as the main striker with Watkins on the left hand side. If you think about the team last season without looking at Grealish; a lot of our goals came from Traore and El Ghazi who played as inside forwards. Watkins is a step up on both of those players playing the inside forward role as well as tracking back down the wing and the middle. I would expect this in most games next season: Ings Watkins Buendia Bailey But I would expect this against Watford with Bailey not yet in the UK or training Ings Watkins Buendia Traore This formation leaves the middle of the pitch fairly exposed, but Buendia and Watkins will actively press and track back. I really think we need a proper number 6 to play next to McGinn, Luiz or Sanson in the middle of the pitch though. Breaking up play and being comfortable on the ball in the middle of the pitch is going to be absolutely crucial to this team next season.
  20. I get the arguments that we need another striker. But is dropping £40 million on a backup striker really a sensible option here? I feel like the money could be spent in better areas, with a lower priced striker coming in as a backup.
  21. 100% this After Yorke, Barry, Milner, Benteke I always thought I’d never get sucked in by a single player again. Jack’s done that to our fanbase though which is why it’s so disappointing. This is the effect of having a player so superior to the rest of the team though; we now have to build a full team of top quality players that negates the loss of an individual going forward.
  22. The club have handled it well, cancelling a planned training camp wouldn’t have helped. They have left the decision to Jack, we now have to move on. We don’t want players at the club that don’t want to be here.
