  1. Okore is probably the one I'm most excited about, closely followed by Luna.
  2. We've already shipped out a lot of the deadwood already. Out of those left its only really Bannan, Ireland and Hutton I desperately want us to get rid of. Given is decent keeper, KEA and N'Zogbia just lack a bit of consistency IMO but are still good players. Delfouneso and Stevens are back ups, ( or out on loans?) so as long as they're not holding back a more talented player coming through the academy I'm OK with them. That just leaves Bent, a proven premiership goal scorer. Yes I know about the wage issue, but if we can't find a buyer I wouldn't be disappointed if he stayed as he can still contribute.
  3. He'll be on a pretty penny at CSKA. No chance. I thought he was on about 40K a week?? Could be wrong (probably am)
  4. I think we should to after Keisuke Honda. He was awesome tonight in the confederations cup, he's available on a free and I can't imagine his wage demands would be to outrageous.
  5. Bannan has been poor at international level also, nothing I've seen over the last 24 months has convinced me he will be world class.
  6. Westwood, Sylla and Delph's games are based on graft. Westwood had a great assist to Agbonlahor against Norwich which doubled his transfer value and suggested he could develop beyond graft, but for most of the season his was a simple game. Bannan works hard but his game is made out of a more precious stone. If you set a diamond in a rubbish bin it don't sparkle. Bannan is a raw gem who needs to be cut right and set in its proper display. Maybe that can't be at Villa which is why a continental-style team like Swansea would be interested. Sorry Con but based on what I've seen down at VP over the last two seasons Bannan is more like cubic zirconia.
  7. He's not as good as Bannan though. He is a seriously good player, I would be amazed if this were true.
  8. The biggest problem for me is that he hasn't lived up to his potential, despite having the perfect stage to do so. Players like Westwood, Sylla and even Delph have all improved, while Bannan IMO has gone backwards. Whether that's his fault or the just system we play I don't know, but it might be best for both parties if he did move on.
  9. So I assume the zone of "yet to be proven & don't fancy it's" is largely made up of mermaids, trawler man and nuclear submarine captains?
  10. Good news then, £2.6m is peanuts and he looks decent.
  11. Forrester was decent. OK he allegedly had a bit of attitude, but I never understood why we let him go.
  12. I suppose this was inevitable really. He was never a Lambert signing and clearly doesn't fit Lamberts philosophy.
  13. All the best Stan. You will be missed!
  14. Yes. Petrov will always be synonymous with the number 19 shirt because its become more than just a squad number and it should be retired IMO.
  15. I've tried to remain optimistic but after our recent results, with a difficult run of fixtures ahead and an abysmal transfer window, I 'm now of the opinion we'll be playing Championship football next season.
  16. From top six and chasing champions league to bottom three and relegation to the championship in three years. Lerner f@*k off now!
  17. We can't sign any players and we can't buy a win, we're fooked!
  18. Sacking Lambert would only make this dire situation worse IMO. Lambert has made mistakes, but we've been in decline for a while and thers only one person responsible for that...Lerner!
  19. I wander what's going to happen with Hutton and Warnock now, no **** wants them and they've be frozen out here.
  20. Good transfer window IMO, just a little concerned we're lacking strength in depth. Would anyone take NRC back on a free?
  21. Also, wasn't he forced out at Newcastle to? If so, I can't see him wanting to go back.
