    I don’t think the club would actively look to sell him, however due to FFP constraints we may well be forced to. If the club received a substantial offer it would surely be considered.

    This kid has phenomenal potential and I’d love to see him fulfil that potential at Villa. Selling him to Chelsea now, or in the summer would be a massive error. He’s young, he makes mistakes, he may well have been miss advised. However there’s no justification to attack him so publicly on social media. UTV

    Fresneda is apparently in talks with West Ham. Would have been a decent signing for us.

    Really dislike the idea of signing Felix on loan. Can’t stand the thought of paying his astronomical wages as he struts around the place with his inflated ego ‘dreaming of playing for Barca’, while churning out a string of inept performances before inevitably getting injured.

    That report states €50m for Fati, which is around £43m. Having just sold Ramsey, Davis and Archer for around £40m, the transfer fee quoted isn’t beyond our budget. Wages may be the stumbling block.

    Honestly can’t see us signing Alonso. He’s a decent enough left back and can provide cover in central defence, but given he’s 32 and earning over £100k per week, it’s totally illogical. Also thought Digne was fantastic at the weekend.

    Davis for a £1m is fine. He’s 25 now and has seemingly reached his peak, he clearly has no future here. Given that he’s on around £45k a week (£2.3m? annually) surely it makes more sense to sell him now for a small profit rather than sending him out on loan again, subsidising his wages only to lose him on a free at the end of the season.

    Unfortunately, he’s just not good enough for the Premier League. He really struggles with the intensity of the English game, both physically and mentally. For his own sake, he desperately needs to go back to a less demanding league and rebuild his career.
