  1. Biggest problem is we still do have to guarantee our own safety with at least 1 more point. Can't see us surviving if we lose all 3
  2. Yeah I agree with all of that. Fact is we now look almost identical to where we were at this point under McLeish (ie certainties for relegation if season carried on a few more weeks). Leaky at the back and clueless going forward the general play spoke for itself under McLeish and will do for Lambert whatever happens in the next three games.
  3. I missed my first game of season last week and we got a very valuable point. Thought I'd do the same today but it sounds like I'm not the cause of our utter shitness
  4. Yes it is an interesting quote. Been noticable that the usual flat batting from all involved with Villa communication to media has been slipping in the last few weeks. Surely got to be something going on! Hope more than judgement at this point.
  5. Yeah - wasn't it supposed to be a done deal pending staying up? How can it be done when bidding is still going on? As long as it's somebody with enough cash to make us a bit more comfortable and exciting to watch I'm happy
  6. Yes this occurred to me and would be great news. I think the Lerner statement is definitely heartening but years of disappointment are keeping me in the believe when I see it camp
  7. The Secret Footballer's source at Villa. Says the Albrighton train story is bollocks. http://www.thesecretfootballer.com/articles/the-secret-footballer/16584/backroom-harmony-at-villa-turns-sour/ Jesus... depressing stuff - more proof if it were needed that Randolph is a waaay bigger problem for us than Lambert ever will be
  8. Surely the only reason they made him coach was because they wanted him to actually do something for his bloody money for a change
  9. God knows when he finds the time to do that. Seems to spend all day either tweeting or writing reports about Villa and if he isnt doing that he's on holiday. If he actually makes it into the office he seems to just take photos of the harbour and say what a great place it is to work. Like someone said his hearts in the right place but the obvious vendetta he's had in place since being booted out Directors is starting to grate a bit. Even if I struggle to disagree with a lot of it he's still coming across as someone who got dumped and said he never liked her anyway.
  10. Yeah I read that and thought it was a pretty embaressing thing to write to the Chairman of a football club. I once wrote to Doug Ellis and tolk him to buy Rashidi Yekini who I'd watched on TV but I was about 12 at the time
  11. All most all of it is pretty accurate - pretty damning on Lowton actually but Ahmadi - struggles to press?? That is probably his biggest assett and he does that as well as anyone in the league going by the stats and my eyes. I struggle to see how a trained scout would come to that conclusion

    Windows 8

For reasons other than IT ones which there is no point in getting in a debate about
  13. Same as his chance at the end of the game last week the guy can barely stand by the end if the game. Good nod down for Weimann chance though.

    Windows 8

It was a birthday present so public face is that I really like it
  15. We basically need two points from five games, next three as don't see us getting anything in last two. Surely we'll manage that?? Surely even as crap as we are we can't lose 9 on the trot. Lambert has also lost me today. been really trying for a long time to keep on side. Another manager just means more "transition" more players frozen out/not fancied and wasted money. Ie no progress in the squad. However it was so blindingly obvious that Palace we're going to score why didn't he try and effect the game. I also think setting up for 0-0 away at Spurs as Eck did was painful enough but doing the same away at Palace is just embarrassing.

I really hate Win 8, biggest problem I have is that no browser seems to work on every website. When I'm working on laptop at home I have to have 3 browsers (Mozilla, IE and Chrome) because each of them doesn't load up certain sites properly.
  17. If acquitted, South African law stipulates that the court must consider the separate, lesser charge of culpable homicide, or manslaughter, for which he could receive between six and 15 years in prison. Mr Pistorius also faces charges of illegally firing a gun in public and of illegally possessing ammunition, both of which he denies. - From the BBC website - few people wondering in this thread
  18. He has put out feelers for Newcastle this time. They're more likely to go in for him IMO, although he is still a very good player/prospect, he comes across as a bit of a tool after he said we were in for him last summer. He also said the only reason he went to Kiev was because nobody else came in for him, which is a bit disrespectful to his current club. A good player who would certainly improve our team in terms of footballing quality, but he'd be off in a flash the following summer if he played well. Benteke-esque I guess. Can't blame him for wanting out of Kiev to be fair. I can think of a few places I'd rather live
  19. Yep - for sure. This has been the conundrum all season, problem is whenever Tonev has come in to replace him he has also been crap
  20. This 100% look very sharp early on. Makes a mistake and then falls to pieces
  21. I thought he did alright looked like one of the few players who had a clue. He was incredibly deep first half but it took me about 30mins to figure out what formation we were playing. Think with the diamond Lambert recognised we were going to struggle to score with the "talent" on show so we needed to go for it even if it meant losing the midfield and ceding control and chances. It was a battle of who's the shittest and we lost
  22. What an embarrassment this team/manager/club is
  23. I think most of the problem so far is his shots havent been that atomic. I can only remember one which was against Tottenham from miles out which had a little wobble and big Brad had to punch away. Other than that they've all been skied/orbited or screwed. Think he needs to calm down and think about the connection rather than the power.
