Boring and successful, yes. Boring and as poor as we are, no. At least all the off field antics distract from the fact were awful on the pitch. Although the pitch itself is lovely.

For those of you familiar with Timehop... It was a year ago yesterday I shared an article from the official site regarding us entering due diligence and granting exclusivity to an interested party... May well be good timing from the club to coincide with season tickets or coincidence. I'm currently swaying towards the latter. Seems very real this time round.

That's the spirit! A new owner with new direction and vigour will soon see us forget Lerner ever step foot in the place. He has no choice but to sell now, and if reports are to be believed there's plenty of interest.

Sky Sports Investigating on SSN are reporting a group of businessmen that are Villa fans have got a consortium together, some UK based and some based in mainland Europe are in pole position to buy us. Been granted due diligence and exclusivity to the clubs accounts. Price rising up to £100m apparently. Stated there could be an announcement in next 48 hours! Please be true. He seemed very matter of fact about it, not speculative. Anybody else see this?!

What an absolute shambles. Best case scenario, new owners and Moyes and no longer needing these guys, as the extensive negotiation are near to bearing fruit Worst case Randy is staying and tightened the purse strings even more and Bernstein and King have jumped as a result

They just need to get the new man in now, to see the players first hand and make a decision on them. Then plan for the summer and next season. Just get it done and announced!!

Moyes would be my number one choice. Outside of that I'm not really sure who'd be a good fit. Pearson doesn't sit right with me. I have more faith in the board appointing the right man this time around than the jokers attempting it before!

As a commercial director yes. As a CEO, it's a no. It seemed a good appointment at the time, but there we go. Hopefully we will appoint someone who knows what they're doing this time round. Over to you Hollis!

Judging by his comments on Twitter he would definitely consider signing a new deal should an offer arise. Hopefully this being made public will gee up the club to start negotiations.
