In all honesty we don't really need a whole new team do we! A few quality additions and it changes the whole outlook of the team. £35m is a fantastic budget for the second tier of English football. I doubt Newcastle will spend massively after spending so big last summer and in January.

I bet he's costing us a pretty penny looking at his site and history. Fitness was, shockingly, one of our biggest downfalls last season. There's no excuse for that in the modern game. Hopefully we can have a proper preseason where the players actually start the season fit and prepared this time.

Indeed. I remember Wilkins being a good appointment and being promised the world by Lerner. The optimism is back though and hugely infectious. I'm just looking forward to winning games and being competitive again first and foremost. Clarke is a great addition and a shrewd move by RDM.

Maybe so, but Gray and Vokes would be tough to get in ahead of. Would be a coup for any Championship side. He'll remain in the Prem no doubt.

I thought the opposite. Was looking at it fancying a win most weeks! August looks decent. We should know how we will fare by those first few games. A mixture of challenges.

The 'sportingintel' guy on Twitter who interviewed and met Xia and verified his qualifications etc is saying that Steve Clarke will be RDMs number 2. If that happens it's a great appointment.

There's one turnstile, can't see how they'll work it. And parking will be a nightmare, they struggle for local amateur cup finals.

The game against Worcester is a nice local one for me. The Swifts 'stadium' is tiny, and I've played there myself. Will be a bit surreal.

I can see Dr X getting mightily pissed off with the media, if he isn't already. Once the sale has been completed I'm sure they'll all disappear back up the arses of the London clubs and forget we exist again. -
That 'article' is nonsense. Didn't an investigative journalist from the mail meet Dr X a few weeks back and basically say everything checked out right down to his time at Havard? Click bait. Move along people. The imminent appointment of RDM points to it all nearly being wrapped up IMO.
