Drives me nuts, we must be the shortest team in the league outside of defenders but we just lump it up over and over. All comes from a much too static midfield who rarely show for the ball in the right places and put themselves under pressure.

Yeah, didn't help Targett at all first half, then pretty much shut Sarr down by himself second. Odd.

The subs actually made a difference and brought energy and pace we massively needed, but it was too late. Too much wrong in the first half and McGinn + Marv deep not a functional combination. Outmuscled, outpressed and outpaced at every turn.

McGinn is so terribly static when we're trying to play out of the back, gives no option but to hit it down the line. He's great if you find him with space ahead of him to drive into, but he makes no effort to show for the ball and find that space himself. Marv looking all over the place, sadly.

I haven't watched him as much in the U23s but in the FA Youth Cup run, I thought he was arguably the most ready-looking of the group. Just needs to learn to be more disciplined positionally.
