    Key part of this statement being "want to". They're not in the door yet and not many concrete links about. Agree if we acquire 2 or 3 top forward players he'll struggle to break into the team but based on current squad I'd have a fit coutinho over Bailey or Bert

    he's also posting on his insta the work he's doing with his personal trainer over the last few days and looks in good shape. i suspect there's an element of guilt by association with gerrard/purslow for some. people see coutinho and see those two. i'm gonna stick my neck out and say that if smith had signed him there wouldn't be so much criticism

    this is a scenario where both answers are correct. i think he'll feature regularly if he stays, and will probably do well. but if we get a suitable offer we'd let him go. that probably applies to the likes of dendoncker too

    possibly. but there's value in the likes of son and fernandes. salah has had a slight reduction and haaland is still affordable. i just don't think folks will have much money tied up in the defence.

    i'm throwing tyrone into this discussion...some of the shit that's been written about him by his own fans both on here and social media has been dreadful but it seems that he's largely won most people over

    i actually think the opposite...at the time there was a lot sympathy felt towards him (seem to remember a song about him along the lines of "we would understand if you walked away from this mess" ) but in hindsight the guy was utterly useless

    i honestly think there wont be much difference if you're talking about overall games played between the 4 CBs...at least the 3 of konsa mings and torres the main CB pairing for the PL will be interesting but i suspect it'll be mings and torres but with the occasional back 3 too

    with europe and cups, all 4 CBs will play a minumum of 90 mins a week IMO so i don't think anyone will be sitting around really
