i dont get this. why do you not count the initial games? the new manager bounce is a myth anyway IMO. so rarely have we seen it in recent years and it's not something generally seen as much anymore. we didn't have it with bruce or smith. you mentioned getting knocked out of the cup as a negative when anyone watching that game knows we deserved to win...or had you conveniently forgotten that?

i think the liverpool connection has really rubbed some folk up the wrong way. that was clear when we appointed him and numerous people were saying he was just using us as a stepping stone. we've just gone from a boyhood villa fan to a liverpool fan...we've gone from one of our own to someone whose grown up supporting a generally disliked club. for the record it never bothered me...but i do think it was a factor. our fanbase also doesn't seem to like managers who are well liked by the media. it was (and still is) a frequent dig with regards to bruce, and i've seen "gerrards media mates" or similar a number of times. we should have liked seeing our manager on a popular youtube channel the overlap, but it pissed so many people off. these are just theories of course. it's just funny that people have quickly forgotten those 3 games in a row where we played good stuff just because we dropped a few points against good sides.

still think we'll sign him. 150k a week isn't silly money these days and i dont think we'd take the risk of him doing well elsewhere

bailey should've hit the target, watkins straight at keeper if he connects better could've gone in, ball across the face of goal was begging someone to tap it in, buendia's shot just wide, schmeichel save at near post general attacking play was better defensively was better (clean sheet) i'm not saying it was a brilliant performance, just fundamentally disagree with people saying it wasn't an improvement

because we created more and better chances than they did continue to be miserable if you want...gonna take the positives myself

yesterday was a strange game to be fair and one that had we not lost the last 4 we'd have approached differently. we were playing for 0-0 in the last 5 mins because we didn't want another 5 losses in a row. i fundamentally disagree with nothing to latch on to at the moment. yesterday showed clear improvement IMO.

nothing wrong with spending big money on whisky. the best stuff costs. and the cask strength stuff you need to add a drop of water to anyway really so makes it last longer the above looks a bit peaty for my taste though still working through my tamdhu 15 myself and just bought a bottle of fettercairn 12 which is a decent dram for the price
