  1. Gas and power although gas has a couple of forwards in triple digits. All fuels are weak right now. Scepticism around demand at high prices is really evident.
  2. I saw an article on how players across the "top 6" are performing this season, and it referred to Man U, Man C, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool. I wonder at what point that top 6 doesn't exist any more? It's very likely that we will have a second successive league season above Chelsea, probably Tottenham too.
  3. It's what you prioritise isn't it to some extent. Worryingly I also think that many people are oblivious to prices and costs and are just carrying on as they always have.
  4. Yes but the wholesale price has dropped 20% in the last three weeks, and there's very little supporting it now. The Russia threat has gone and we have had a mild winter so far. Stocks too at record levels in Europe. So they won't have factored this in as fresh. Either way, it'll be that test as to whether they factor back out price proportionately to how quickly they built it in. I'm guessing they won't.
  5. Energy prices should fall pretty aggressively next year, if it were to link to the wholesale market like they say. There are no triple digit prices on the power screens now, for the first time since about May 2021. We are much lower than double the old prices pre energy crisis. 2022 averaged more than quadruple for instance. Should return to old prices early in the new year if current trend continues.
  6. It's not just that, they're also clearly under instruction to play at about half a normal match speed.
  7. Said before about the laziness of people now, but kind of not peoples fault as its the way society has gone with technology. The mcdonalds advert has a guy ordering a mayo chicken from his house to be delivered. They cost £1 and are literally a tiny bit of frozen chicken. The latest thing I've come across is parents no longer going to grottos but instead ordering a father Christmas to come to your doorstep and meet your child with a gift. What is going on. I completely get it if you have a disability or illness but able people shouldn't be doing this.
  8. Is it weighted towards champions league performance being more important, or is it how English teams perform across all 3 competitions equally?
  9. No changes until the new year please, want us to play this side on boxing day.
  10. That's crazy too that we could do this by the end of the season, and that weve arguably just played the two hardest teams we'd play, on paper.
  11. Not really too fussed where moved to for the next two seasons but would like first refusal on tickets in the new North Stand when its ready.
  12. I've seen it reported in a lot of places that we are on the same number of points right now than Leicester were the season we won it. Are we not also on the same number of points as Man City were at the equivalent point in each of the seasons they've won it?
  13. But we are getting better though aren't we? Not standing still or getting else. So it can be title winning form.
  14. Was hoping it would get to STHs but doubtful.
  15. I mean that'll come down to the individual. I'd be disappointed for us not to qualify for Europe for next season. In some form. But if we are in the same league position in Feb say, then yes maybe then extend it to champions league qualification.
  16. I completely agree. Not sure if that stat has been picked up on here but saw that only ten premier league managers have had this many points as Emery at this stage with a club, and all went on to win the Premier league with that club. Essentially Emery has to not win the league with us to stop that pattern. He's creating some very nice problems.
  17. But we were about the 2nd or 3rd best team in the league last season from the second Emery walked in. It was almost like 2 different clubs pre and post Emery. One of the Arsenal podcast things annoyed me yesterday as they kept referring to us as the form team in the league. We're not. We're the most boringly consistent team in the league for the last 12 months. Our output is a points tally that has you 2nd or 3rd in the Premier league. Week to week, month to month, for ages. This season shouldn't be much of a surprise at all as nothings changed from last season. Leicester meanwhile was nuts.
  18. We are a completely different situation to Leicester when they won it. For a start, we were one of the best teams in the league for most of last season. Leicester was a rapid freak title win from nowhere and then decline. I think our aim is more to occupy the top 5 for the foreseeable future.
  19. Well yes it's against an average team of about 15th in the league. We've just got through our hard spell of fixtures against Man City, Spurs Arsenal.
  20. Haha. She said but that's good for Bournemouth. So true.
  21. 4 of our next 7 games are against the bottom 4.
