    I've genuinely never seen so many basic errors in 20 mins of football. We must have made about ten in ten mins. Need to stay in this.

    That feels like a pretty low level to play at. Gloucester to Solihull moors would be like Rotherham is to Arsenal, just for some context as to the level.

    I agree. Why should the referee have to explain to the crowd why he is making a decision. He literally wont be able to win in most scenarios and will cause even more problems. I'd prefer explanation from the players as to why they can't hit a barn door on 100k a week. Not a ref making tough decisions on 100k a year.

    It's not right or wrong though it's subjective. This is the huge flaw in VAR, as if it somehow has the right answer. It's all just opinion that can't be agreed in. The ref wasn't right or wrong to let the Calvert Lewin tackle play on. VAR were not right or wrong to make him review it. The ref was not right or wrong to overturn and send him off. The powers that be were not right or wrong to overturn it. It's all opinion. We've just widened the opinion and confused the whole thing.

    Why, what aspect of it? We regularly did well at Everton with much weaker teams than we have now.

    We'll attract masses more fans in the Midlands now, naturally, providing this is sustained over several seasons. Those who would have supported Man U, Chelsea etc for glory may now be on board with the family member who supports Villa. If you think over the last 10 seasons our average league position has been about 18th in the Premier league? Things like people's fantasy teams are now full of villa players, that drives so much interest, alongside social media.

    It's funny, I still can't quite detach this Chelsea from the old succeslful Chelsea. I see Poch, Sterling, Caicedo etc I think they must be quite good but theyre not and never are. They've got fewer points in the last 12 months than Fulham, Wolves, Brentford etc.

    Surely this shows that it doesn't work. What a farce. A ref is managing a game well and getting a decision right, and he is told to change it to the wrong decision?

    Mccoist said it wasn't a penalty. It probably is often given its just a shame that you have to jump on the floor when you don't need to to beat a team like Wigan. Pathetic.

    Thought this match tonight might be interesting, but hadn't appreciated that Wigan were towards the bottom of league one.

    There's literally been nothing interesting with any of the fa cup games. Is Burnley the highest placed team to go out so far?

    I don't think there's been any has there? Is it all prem teams through, others than those that have played eachother?

    It looked like he was angry with Duran. About 30 seconds before Duran looked to have a bit of a hissy fit for a long ball not reaching him. He then didn't close down their defenders. I'm putting two and two together there.

    We have a really, really strong first 16 players. But you always have somewhere between 3 and 7 players out. Our fall off in quality from players 16 to 22 is huge, but then we're not Man City. In a couple of windows we should have a very strong first 20.
