  1. Its really odd having a player who is so important to us, but yet has no gurantee of even being here in the next month. I dont remember us ever being so dependent on a player who doesnt belong to us. Itd weird from a supporter perspective, the fans were singing his name loudest and most frequently today and rightly so. Dont want to get too used to him. Is he our most important loan signing in recent years? Obviously not a loan but With Benteke you always knew he was leaving, but this is a real up in the air one, and he owes us absolutely nothing.
  2. I didnt think he played well at all today, surprised at the responses on here.
  3. The amount of time wasting they did in the first half was bizzare, let alone the second. Particularly given that they were only drawing. Ruined the game. Found it odd considering they were above us in the league. Was hardly a surprise to see 11 mins of injury time for their supposed injuries.
  4. Got no idea what day it is at the moment, feels great. Cracks me up whenever i ask someone and they tell me. Absolutely no chance is today a Sunday.
  5. I thought their headed equaliser was close enough for him to do something. Maybe not save it, but atleast react. Although a different goal, similar to the Lolley goal for Forest in that he was close enough to it to do better.
  6. Can’t see anything past a Villa win here, particularly with us being at home. Stoke haven’t scored more than two goals in a game this season! We’re averaging over three goals a game in the last six matches. Also nine scored in our last two home games. We should have too much.
  7. We've already played the bottom ten once this season and only won one of the games. Unfortunately this means that we have to beat the top teams now for us to be anywhere near the top. We surrendered\wrote off about 20-25% of our season in Bruce's last ten games.
  8. Whats an away point? You mean a point? Its bad. They also got a point. Should and pretty much did win that.
  9. He didnt track back to close down the cross for the winning goal. And then didnt appeal the handball in anyway. Despite having arguably the best view and subsequently the most influence over the linesmans take on it.
  10. Thats like me Monday night at my 5 a side. The problems of being a top striker eh.
  11. Go on Villa. In Lambert spirit, go again.
  12. You cant blame the officials at all. Theyre human. Watch sky downplay it though. The balls rolling wide but he palms it in.
  13. Thats awful. No ones fault. Its how football currently works. Fair play to Rodriguez saying it hit his hand and went in and the ref didnt see it. If we miss out on automatics by a point it is disgusting.
  14. I don’t understand why so many people would take a draw now if offered it. We’re not ten points clear at the top, we’re ten points off the top. We’re not keeping a team that could potentially catch us at bay by drawing with them, we’re five places behind them. If the teams above us win, and we draw, it just moves us another win away from the playoff places. Couple this with the fact we are one of the most exciting/in form teams in the country right now. Derby, Middlesboro, West Brom all equally strong sides in this division, and we have just won 3-0 at the first two. Oh, and scored nine against two other top ten teams in the intervening period. Would you take 1-1? No I wouldn't, thanks. Roll the dice.
  15. Are you not allowed to head the ball out of a goalkeepers hand and score? Thought id seen that a few times.
  16. For me it was the Moore brothers and slightly more recently Delfouneso. Sad to see him as an unused sub away at Solihull Moors for Blackpool the other day. I also remember going to watch our youth/reserve team im the late 90s which used to be up there with the best. Included names such as Gavin Melaugh, John Mcgrath, Stephen Cooke, Danny Jackman etc. Dont remember any of them playing at a high level. Not sure if anyone remembers?
  17. As if we only won one game in that run of Ipswich, Brentford, Reading, Sheff U, Blackburn, Rotherham, Sheff Weds, Bristol City, Preston, Millwall. Average league placing of those clubs is 17th If we miss out on automatics or playoffs by a couple of points……….it’ll be so frustrating looking back at that.
