How many games has he played up top on his own in a 4-3-3 / 4-2-3-1 etc this season? As if you ignore all the times he's played out of position or part of a 2 up top then I don't think he'd be getting criticism. He's done good when played in his best role imo

I think so too. It's on hold because of Afcon, but as soon as that's done we'll go all out to get him. Whether we can get him over others remains to be seen but I wouldn't be surprised considering past signings.

I'd rather play steer on the wing than either ings or Watkins. If we're playing a formation with one striker, let's play one striker. Ffs Start Coutinho ings Buendia against teams we are likely to dominate, and swap ings for Watkins if we're more counter attacking. Swap them out after 70 mins if they're not working for the other one. It's baffling that we keep persevering with it if we've got other options

Always appreciate visiting fans opinions thanks for sharing. Hoping that coutinho will be part of the front three, not the midfield three so Digne will get cover from McGinn / Ramsey if he bombs forward. Will see, and agree the contract seems too high and will be costly if it doesn't work out...
