There is a lot of conflicting views in Turkey at the moment. Whilst the AKP dicatorsh...party are condemning the goings on the EU abassador has called the sanctions pointless and warns of a civil war in the region. Erdoğan sent his foriegn minister to Damascus last week which turned out to be nothing but 'come on now..' telling off. Turkey is very keen to flex it's muscles in the middle east and Syria could be, IMO, the place to do it. No sabre rattling yet though. The football corruption scandal is getting far more press.

Now it turns out that....at an Armenian wedding (of which mine will be...sort of) there are 2 first dances. One when we enter the reception area to show off our marriage....and then the traditional first dance when the music starts at the usual time. Now I'm dreading the first one because it's well outside my comfort zone. My wife to be has insisted on the Shostakovich waltz (II). She only just brought this up last night. Gah!

The fact that my in laws are slowly invading my new flat with plates and crockery that really pushes the envelope of chintz. The thing is they keep saying it's 'English Style' and what not...it isn't! It's gopping and flowery and urrrgghhh!

The stadium was what caused all the problems in the first place! Yep, they ran before they could walk when they built that stadium. They had to 'shut down' parts of the stadium on match days as it cost so much to run.

I highly recommend this. Series 2 is better than Series 1 I thought however both are brilliantly made. Haven't seen Series 3 It is set in France and is quite brutal in parts but it has some good actors in it. So yeah...watch it.
