  1. A break in the foot is a stubborn bastard of an injury, it can happen over and over and can take a year or more to fully heal. Disaster for him if that's what's happening here.
  2. Barcelona don't want him, and neither did Spurs. We won't be interested enough to buy him permanently either. That says it all. I stand by average enough.
  3. Thank God for Dan Bardell knowing stuff he won't say. What would we do without him.
  4. Sorry but this is nonsense. He's nowhere near a fit Konsa's level. Konsa is one of the best centre-halves in the Premier League IMO, top 10 for sure. Lenglet doesn't come within throwing distance of that group, he's average enough and the revisionism here is a bit baffling just because he's the best of what we've been left with through a bizarrely long list of defensive injuries. He's been fine, nothing to crow about.
  5. They're better off both getting some minutes tomorrow versus being thrown in vs Spurs next weekend IMO. Obviously depends on some factors but neither of them are going to magically be fit to play 90 mins or even 60 mins next week if they can't do a few minutes this week.

    Ezri Konsa

Some of us knew Apart from 1 wobbly season he's probably been the most consistent player we have in the whole squad. He's brilliant.
  7. Does he know where the light is though?
  8. Our new club motto could be 'Prepared, Unnecessarily'.
  9. People did ask for it to be more fierce...
  10. How does his crest help us do that, though? It's crap, and it doesn't scale.
  11. What we need is to beat these and be less nervy going into Spurs so we can try to get a result there. But knowing us we'll lose to Luton, everyone will freak out, and then we'll go and smash Spurs.
  12. I would love to be able to say "forever" or even 3-5 years but I think 2 is maybe the most realistic outcome. It's just so uncommon these days for managers to stay a long time. Continued and consistent success seems to be the only criteria that ensures a long spell, and though I think he'll do brilliantly with us (and bring us a trophy), the likelihood of us consistently winning something every year is quite slim, so I think he will eventually hit what he considers to be a ceiling with us and feel he can't better his achievements with us. At which point his stock will only be higher and a Madrid or similar will be his next step. Of course, the fairytale sounds better. Emi, Unai, Dougie and Ollie all stay, we win the league, and we become the biggest club in Europe again.
  13. Christ that looks **** atrocious
  14. The cynic in me says the only reason they would back down so easily and reduce Everton's points deduction is to cause less furore when they fail to come down heavily in punishing Man Citeh. As we all know they most likely will fail to do so.
  15. Be that as it may - you're entitled to your feelings - Carlos has a higher win percentage of games played than Lenglet. Other factors involved but I would err towards results and facts over feelings personally. I like both of them, but I rate Carlos higher generally.
  16. He's been solid, albeit he is very limited compared to Mings, Konsa, and Torres. IMO. He's probably about on a par with Carlos.
