    People are forgetting that this is his settling in period. That injury has cost him a season of football so it’s to be expected he’ll have some dips. However we have to start with one of Konsa, Pau or Mings (when fit) in the centre. It’s too risky having none of those three starting in the central position.

    Exactly! If players can’t pass the effing ball thankfully we won’t be buying them. NRC would chase back 50 yards win the ball then misplace the ten yard pass with no pressure on him. im all for robust players coming in but des bremner would be dropped asap if his passing didn’t improve. It’s why I don’t mind seeing Dani Parejo coming in (no links) I think his positioning and ability to control games is what we need when Dougie, McGinn and Boubs need a break.

    We do need technical players in every position. It’s the style of football that our manager demands. No point winning the ball and then giving it back to the other team. Nigel reo coker.

    A lot of fans are talking about bed wetting etc but for me I just wanted to see us go top once this season. Realistically this is a top 4 race for us. But to see us top the league once after where we have been and the football we’ve seen for nearly 12 seasons or so would have been an immense moment of pride. As for top 4 we need to in every block of 5 get at least 10 points from now to the end of the season. Then we’ll have 4 games remaining on 69 points. Right Burnley are due a pasting from us 9-0 should do it.

    Yet up until we scored the second goal we were comfortably the better team. We won most the ground and aerial duels. Did they suddenly press a button which gave them super boost powers? Or did we fall asleep and think job done?

    I think Konsa + Carlos or Lenglet is fine. However Carlos and Lenglet together is a disaster waiting to happen. They don’t talk that much and Konsa has developed into a good leader.

    Kin hell Bacuna is still shit and a coward. Countless goals we conceded because he didn’t put a foot in or make a ten yard run to receive a simple pass he’s still doing that but for the great unwashed. Unless it’s a different Bacuna? Edit - it’s his younger brother !
