  1. it just says that the player has been invited to train with a PL club for two weeks, nothing to do with a permanent transfer etc.
  2. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/68580638 i wonder if this might impact their promotion?, 3 seasons worth of breaches they are being charged for (before they were relegated).
  3. looking at manures remaining fixtures, and i know they have averaged only 1.7 PPG so far this season, i can see them getting 2 PPG for their remaining fixtures. However, they could also totally not, you never know with manure.
  4. pretty sure Manure need to do 2 PPG to get 67 points. 47 points currently, 10 games to go, 20 points needed to get 67 points, 2 PPG.
  5. The problem is, that however bad the private ownership/self(ish) governance has probably been overall, to have a "Govt body" throwing rules etc around is even worse, Govt bodies are usually completely incompetent, pander to interest groups and overall make things much worse overall. Govt involvement in rule making within the game, is a disaster imo.
  6. i work in a safety critical environment, where clear, precise and structured communication is mandatory, ie: passing correct, steady, formulated information etc, as well as ensuing clear understandings and making sure wires arent crossed, emotions arent overtaking your comms, steady emotions etc. Everything i hear, see etc from the VAR/Ref comms is beyond amateurish. the story where they said they would go to the airlines to discuss comms protocols after the offside eff up (Liverpool), i honestly cant believe a professional body (FA/refs etc), didnt think of all this in advance, it shows the level of incompetence and lack of understanding of the impact of comms and VAR, any half competent professional would have put all the comms protocols, training, processes at the top of the list when introducing VAR/direct comms between parties. its pretty shocking tbh, honestly.....coming from the background im in, i am genuinely shocked just how amateurish it all is. i dont want to be hyperbolic, but yeah.....from the perspective i look at it, its seriously amateurish, almost to the point of negligence, the lack of foresight/management of implementing VAR effectively is just mind boggling.
  7. oh ye, my bad, still, its high balls in to the box.
  8. while i agree in principle, Antonio literally headed the ball 1 foot off the ground today for their goal. I agree we have a height/physical issue defending set pieces, but it also a tactical issue i think.
  9. i guess his goal bonus today will pay for a new organ at the church.
  10. the real challenge is to guess which one gets booked first.
  11. what i liked with him, is he played at least 2, maybe more of those defence cutting through balls that Tielemans does so well. Granted they didnt entirely work, but the fact he can see the pass and try to make it is a really good sign for me, once he settles, learns Emery's ways and gains some confidence, i think he is going to be very good. he also looks comfortable on the ball and driving forward with it, the lad looks like he has oodles of potential to me.
  12. tbf, West Ham will only be a point behind Man Utd if they best us on Sunday. Could be 7th......
  13. According to the betting sites: Fiorentina, Lille, Fenerbahce, Club Brugge, Pizen, PAOK, Olympiakos.
  14. i reckon we need 12 points from the last 10 games tbh to be sure of 5th, assuming Manure dont go wacky and massively over-perform in the last 10 games.

4 goals in 659 mins, or 1 goal every 1.83 games. erratic but effective.
  16. re united. They would need to average 2 PPG for the last 10 games to hit 67 points, we would need to achieve 1.2 PG for the last 10 games to hit 67 points. We have the goal difference advantage currently, so in all likelihood we would need to drop just below 1.2 PPG, while manure maintain 2 PPG, for us to lose 5th. Anything is possible ofc, but fingers crossed we dont drop off that badly for the last 10 games.
  17. ye, regardless of how good they are right now, Ajax is one of those genuine glitter names in football, they are a club steeped in history, spanking them is always special.

he's basically Traore, without the skills, but with muscles, speed and a rocket shot isnt he. excitement 11/10, WTF are you doing 11/10, off the wall 11/10, erratic-ness 11/10, mental balance and knowing what he is going to do next 1/10.
  19. Villa Park is like me with my missus, can only be assed to get it up for special occasions.
