wow, high praise, really that good? Dune is also my favourite book (well....maybe....one of the other Dune books might challenge it for me personall)...anyways.... Is it really that good!? i need to get my butt down the cinema to see it.....

tbf Arsenal have a game in hand, and if they win it we are six points behind them, and the points of the top 3 would be 63, 62 and 61, then us on 55, Spurs on 50 with a game in hand, then Manure on 44 in 6th. I do think, if we are honest, its a 3 horse race for the PL. We are in a fight for 4th or 5th, with my fingers crossed that Manure dont have some sort of mad run, and it stays a 2 team challenge for 4th/5th.

just to confirm, as it stands now, 1st to 4th Champions League, 5th & 6th Europa League, and 7th Conference League???

im not 100% sure how it works, but im sure any sign on fee is also required to be factored in to FFP, and i bet he didnt get a small sign on fee. granted, i dont think he would have got a 25/30m+ sign on fee, but i bet it was big, 10m+?? A bit like Kamara, yes he was free, but i bet he got a huge signing on fee. My poiont is, any sale of these types of players isnt 100% profit i wouldnt think, as we would need to consider/factor in the sign on fee, which i think would be huge in these types of cases.

exactly this. its a learning curve for him, moments of promise, moments of learning and improvement. If anyone is calling him out after so few minutes for us, you really need to have a look at urself.

Watkins just said in himself in his interview. "We were too relaxed at the start of the second half, like we were against Forest, and the opposition got momentum" we need to sort that s**t out asap, its not acceptable.

we are like the Newcastle of the 90's. We cant keep a clean sheet to save our lives, so its all down to if we can outsacore the opposition. On a serious note, we need to sort our defence out , obviously defending isnt just defence, its a team game, but our defence is just a joke. I hope we get Pau and Konsa back together soon, we also need someone to make that DM role their own.

they just need to build a new stadium. i dont think the footprint of Villa Park will ever be big enough to accomodate everything a modern stadium really needs. The only way it could be done i reckon, is to knock Villa Park down and build an entirely new stadium on its spot, other than that, its a new stadium somewhere else, if we ever want to reach the next level stadium/revenue wise.

man after my own heart. I have read all 6 of his Dune books, some of them probably more than 10 times.......but tbh, and its apersonal thing, but i refuse to read his sons books. Not so hung up on Messiah, but Dune, CoD and GEoD......classics. Dune is defo my fave books series ever, sublime books.

Anyone else going to watch it? Reviews are off the scale so far it seems, Dune Part 1 was a little slow, but Dune part 1 was effectively the first half of the book, so i fully expected it to be slow, the second half of the book is where it all goes nuclear, so basically the second film. If its even nearly as good as the reviews say it is, should be a classic?

when he came on versus forest, that little section of play where he headed it down in front of him, rode that challenge (where many would fall over), then get to the ball and play it in to space for Diaby, then get on the end of Diaby's pass and, although he didnt score, the overall play by him was superb i thought, in that phase.

i thought it was 28m, up to 33m with add-ons, with a sell on percentage? i cant remember what the sell on percentage was, although, as he signed a new contract, doesnt that invalidate any sell on percentage initially agreed?

looks at Diaby, at exactly 4 seconds. He 100% has the look of..."oh f*** im sitting next to the naughty kid about to get told off", if i just sit here as still as a stone, it wont come my way......

in some systems, yes, but in ours, imo no, our CDM is as much responsible for controlling tempo, ball retention, incicive passing etc, as it is for being a "CDM". We need a Kamara, Luiz etc type player in the CDM role to help control and build from the back.

Arsenal for me. I know its not actually/technically out of our reach, but the top 3 with Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal, i just dont care, i think they will probably have too much for anyone else to catch that top 3. However, any other club they play that could close the gap on where we are now, i want them to lose, so for me, i want Toon to lose.

why didnt bailey's goal go down as an assist for Watkins?, did it clip the keeper on the way?
