what the lineup tells me is that Gerrard realises he is in a huge pickle and under no circumstances can lose this game, or even perform badly and scrape a win, as that would almost be as bad as a loss. Terrible though that none of our youth players get a run out, whats the point of Timmy or Archer being around the club if they wont get minutes, they clearly need to go out on loan.

i dont think any of us with an IQ higher than our shoe size actually turned their nose up at Jesus or Zinchenko, both brilliant players. I would have given my right arm for us to get Jesus.

looks like he might be good in the air too, a lot of area in terms of head size to make good contact. a bit like Maguire tbh......

we might improve, but i also think the formation/tactics are hindering us. Its almost like a double whammy, we are short in some key areas on the pitch, but also the formation/tactics are comedy levels of bad.

i still think hause could do a good job in the PL at a mid/lower end team, especially in a back 3, a team is all about balance, and having a player with hause' strengths (allowing for his weaknesses), he could be part of a very balanced back 3 imo. Im not saying he could do a good job for us specifically, maybe he could, maybe not, but i personally think he is underrated.

i like the idea, but i dont like Konsa right now, to be brutally honest, including loan players, i would go: Martinez Chambers - Hause - Mings KKH - Kamara - Luiz - Digne Buendia - Coutinho Watkins we would be a huge threat with corners/free kicks, and a lot better defensively for sure against free kicks/corners. i think 3421/343/3412 would really suit our developing youth players also.

i dont think its statistically possible that you could be right twice in two days. I think if this were to happen, a probability singularity would form in our universe and sprout an infinite number of Messi11's, which would be very bad for all the non Messi11's.

yeah (Mings, Konsa, Chambers). better have another defender lined up who is better than Hause lol (ie: needs to be a starter), no point in spending 15m on a backup when we have Hause as backup, that would be next level stupid.

protecting his value i guess? extend contract, loan out, build value, sell. This is what Chelsea would do, but our process is prob extend contract, loan out, build value, keep them on the books to wreck FFP cus we are incapable of getting profit for players, joins another team on a free when contract expires, plays better for the new team, whilst that team finishes above us.

tbh, right now im a little non plussed about who we might sign, because i really feel like.....it doesnt really matter who we sign with Gerrards s*** formation and tactics. Gerrard could make prime Barcelona play like a sunday league under 12s.

i also assume this means we have plans to sign another central defender, otherwise letting Hause go out on loan would be idiocy.

wish him good luck, he had some limitations, but i always loved that the guy was a pure animal and his prowess in the air was something else, very good player for champ level imo. Watford have done great to sign Hause and Davis, hopefully they use them both correctly.

i dont think it was wrong to part company with Deano, imo it was 100% the right thing to do. The problem is we have employed the pound shop Klopp, and jumped out of the frying pan and in to the fire.

i really think Bissouma and Phillips were two of our top targets this summer, and we missed out on them both, but we dont seem to have another plan. Either that or Gerrard thinks our midfield 3 is good enough, if he does it will probably cost him his job (along with his nuts tactics).
