  1. Not sure why they would, they have two fit strikers for a lone striker role?, can't imagine him getting regular game time and I wouldn't imagine TA would be happy with that considering he seems to be having fun here and scoring a lorra lorra goals

    Keinan Davis

How would you describe Davis as a player?
  3. Bearing in mind he's on loan from lille I think?, I would be interested to know the deeper reasons he didn't cut it there, as if he can't cut it in France that may imply he can't cut it in the prem?, hence I would love to know the full reasons for not settling and getting game time in France. Looks great in the championship though and looked the real deal versus Boro was impressed.

I was very impressed with Davis when he had a run in the team last season, he seemed to have issues finishing chances but his all round play looked really good. Kinda like a mini abraham :), as in he is appears a good technical player nut should probably convert more of their chances:) So Really, yes I think he could be a similar player, not on Abrahams level cure rly but I do think he has potential. Not a direct replacement though ofc.
  5. In response to the last couple of pages discussion, the thing that crossed my mind next season (when people talk about having a transfer window or two), let's assume for a second we don't keep bolasie, abraham and El Ghazi (worst case scenario), will anything we are able to buy me as good as that front three?, I don't know. I have faith and belief in DS and I also can't wait for DS to have a little time to get some of his own players in. But, the pessimistic side of me wonders if this front 3 is maybe the best front 3 we could hope for if we are still in the championship next season??? Let's hope we can find 3 gems in the transfer market to rival our current front 3 if we lose them:)
  6. Yeah i believe so, I think 4.5 or 5m??, not sure if someone can confirm though?
  7. To be fair if Smith finishes 13th (which i dont expect), i hope we stick with him, personally i reserve judgement until mid next season (after a Jan trf window and pre season inc transfers), although any steps in the right direction between now and then are all positives and give me hope, and recent events have given me hope deep in my loins
  8. Bolasie is a funny one for me, he's partly a brilliant maverick (good assist tonight and some good play), and partly a schizophrenic who doesn't know what he's going to do himself and falls over the ball or gives it away cus his brain tries to do one thing and his legs another good player overall though.
  9. I am loving DS and his style, he's the real deal, him and the team are doing us proud. Now....dont take this the wrong way, i almost dont want us to be promoted this season, the reason being is that DS is still in-bedding his style and methodologies, and i wonder if a promotion this season, with some of our players might be a bit too soon in reality?? Part of me does want to get promoted, but also part of me wants us to inbed this new style and confidence, give DS a January and close season to bring in his own players, and then really get everything clicking and in place for next season, then if we did go up we might be in a good place to carry it forward. I might be wrong though, as to be honest we probably wouldnt keep some of out key players next season if wee didnt go up (Abraham/Tuanzebe/Bolasie/El Ghazi etc), so maybe we just do need to go up tomaintain the momentum, dunno!
  10. anyone got a link to the Boro post match interview with DS?
  11. To be honest probably one of the most complete team performances that I have seen in.......a LONG time, probably years. I don't mean individual performances either, this was a pure team performance of the highest quality, the team was so good it was hard to pick a MOTM tbh. DS is the real deal.
  12. overall ok vs Boro, 1 x great save, 1 x dropped cross that he should have caught! all in a normal day for Nyland
  13. Elmo was quietly effective vs Boro, he looks very comfortable as part of the DS system at RB, i have said for a while i would prefer Elmo at RB and Hutton at LB. Seems no-one else has commented on Elmo vs Boro yet, was a good team performance and Elmo played his part well imo.
  14. was it a 2m loan fee for El Ghazi?, with a 5m buy clause at the end of the loan? Any idea what his salary is at Villa? I do wonder if a) Smith will try and buy him, and b) whether El Ghazi will actually want to join us if we do or dont go up. Do we also have a 15m clause on Bolasie at the end of his loan???? to be honest i owuld prob pay 5m for El Ghazi if he continues to impress, prob would pay more than a couple of million for Bolasie, mostly due to his age etc. (and also not the 70/80k wages....nuts)
  15. some comments from the Boro Forum: "They deserve that :0( " "Villa look so much better than us. Quicker, sharper, more direct, far better at passing, stronger at pressing and forcing mistakes, winning all the 50/50 balls. There's a real gulf in class here, It doesn't say much for our promotion prospects when we're being comprehensively outplayed by a team not even in the play-off positions." "Villa look good going forward - They are dominating midfield and beyond at the moment." "They are a class above us " "Their plan was obviously to blast us away in the first 20 mins as the were pretty unplayable in that time. " How nice it is for ppl to be saying that about us, rather than us saying it about others....been so long since we were the attacking intent/passing/threatening side.........its orgasmic
  16. Really good today, looked potent going forward but just as important he got back, tracked and threw in some good tackles and interceptions, really really impressed. El Ghazi, bolasie and Abraham are quite the forward trio for this league.
  17. WHAT A PERFORMANCE!! in all seriousness we scored the equivalent of 30% of all goals Boro have conceded this season..... El Ghazi was pretty decent also, and on top of that he even tracked back and helped defend etc, really impressed With him and the whole team! We absolutely schooled them....
  18. Very good first half we mostly bosses them. But we need to stop dropping back at times, and we are only one up for all that possession and forward play. Good overall but we prob shod have been 2 up by now and taken a bit of pressure off.
  19. good cross by El Ghazi ans literally no-one in the box......
  20. we are losing our sh*t currently, we need to calm down and just do what we were doing before!!!
  21. omg lol at El Ghazi, what a bit of skill it deserved a goal
  22. ok we are arent playing the same since the goal, we need to stop sitting back and just continue doing what we were doing b4 we scored.
